1 ACE TENNIS IS COMMITTED TO THE EXCELLENCE IN YOUTH THROUGH THE SPORT OF TENNIS MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT It's wonderful to see all the refurbishing taking place at Cedar Springs Health, Racquet and Sportsclub in Burlington - making the club an even more attractive venue for its members and our ACE Burlington programs and tournaments. Doug Burke ACE President Tennis Director - Burlington Our competitive players are in the height of the indoor competitive season ( see results highlighted below) - and with Provincial and National Championships upcoming - we would like to wish our players that have qualified good luck - and to commend all our players - both from ACE Burlington and Toronto Tennis City- that have participated in the various National Selection & Provincial Qualifying events recently. Our younger competitive players are also active - with the recent U10 Championships and upcoming U9/U10/ and U12 Team Championships. We appreciate the recent visit by Tennis Canada's Director of U10 Development - Severine Tamborero - and her complimentary feedback on the high quality of our U10 programs OTA U10 CHAMPIONSHIPS
2 AT THE AVIVA CENTRE Well done to ACE players Laila Bassem Kamil [pictured on top] and Brooke Feth [pictured below] who came through the round robins and qualified for the main draw of the recent 2017 OTA U10 Championships at the AVIVA Centre. Laila and Brooke reached the semi-finals and quarter finals respectively.

4 Congratulations to Rachel Krzyzak! Girls Selection #2 Singles Champion, U16 Selection #2 Singles Finalist and Doubles Finalist with Viktoriya Tabunshchyk. Jessica Alsola was U14 Selection #2 Singles Runner Up and Doubles Finalist and Sarah Liu was Doubles Runner Up.
5 Congratulations to Michael Pawlowicz! Selection # 2 Boys U16 Champion. He defeated Neil Khandhai (pictured here on the left) 4-6, 7-5, 7-6 at White Oaks. VISIT FROM SEVERINE TAMBORERO Tennis Canada's Director for clubs & U10 development, Severine Tamborero - in keeping with her role mandate to liaise with and assist leading Tennis Development Centers - visited ACE Burlington on February 8th to check on our competitive U10 programs. Severine commended us and our coaches for running excellent U10 programs, and complimented ACE Burlington U10 programs director Kyrylo Tabunshchyk, and Walker Lamarche for their fine leadership in the Futures, Champions and Little Aces programs respectively.
6 VICKY MBOKO REPRESENTING CANADA ACE's 10 year old Vicky Mboko was one of two girls (along with Kayla Cross) selected by Tennis Canada to represent Canada on the prestigious Auray tour, which sees leading twelve and under players from around the world competing from February 9th to 27th in France. Vicky, who reached the round of 16 of the main event was awarded a trophy for being the youngest player in the draw that reached the furthest. Congratulations to Vicky on this fine achievement!!! MENTAL TRAINING WITH SUE WILSON
