4 GENTING-SELANGOR INTERNATIONAL JUNIOR OPEN TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIPS RULES AND REGULATIONS 1. The tournament will be conducted in accordance with the rules approved by the ITF and LTAM. 2. The tournament is sheduled from the 28 th November to 2 nd December The following events will be held in the tournament:- Boys Singles and Doubles: 8&U, 10&U, 12&U, 14&U, 16&U Girls Singles and Doubles : 8&U, 10&U, 12&U, 14&U, 16&U 4. A player may take part in not more than two events in one age group only. 5. The age of the player to be reckoned with is on the 1 st January Participants are required to submit a photocopy of their birth certificates, identity cards or passports together with their entry forms. 6. Age eligibility:- For those born on or after as follows: 1 st January & under 1 st January & under 1 st January & under 1 st January & under 1 st January & under 7. Any event receiving less than 8 entries may be cancelled. 8. Entry fee is RM40.00 per player (Singles and Doubles included). and RM20.00 per player for 8 & under (Mini Tennis Singles Only) 9. All entries must be accompanied by the correct entry fee/s otherwise the entries may not be accepted. 10. Any player who reports later than 15 minutes when called upon to play at the discretion of the Tournament Referee, may be scratched from the tournament. 11. The Tournament Organising Committee may allow a substitute to play in any double event up to the time fixed for the first tie in which the pair concerned is competing.

5 12. The Tournament Organising Committee will be responsible for the running of all phases of the tournament. Should there be any dispute, the player or players should refer the dispute immediately to the Tournament Referee whose decision on the matter will be final and binding. Should the Tournament Referee be unable to reach a decision, he may then refer the matter to the Appeals Committee. 13. Any player who uses audible profanity or who in anger, hit, kicks or throws a racket or ball shall be liable to disciplinary action by the Referee. 14. Players are not allowed to indulge in card games or in any form of gambling while waiting for their matches. 15. Match format will be the best of 3 tie-break set, the tie-break to operate at score of 6 games all. For the 8 & under category the format will be best of 3 sets with each set to play first to reach 15 points. 16. The Tournament Organising Committee reserves the right to take all appropriate measures to ensure the successful completion of the championships especially in the case of inclement weather. 17. WILSON Balls will be used. 18. Trophies/Medals will be presented to the winner, runner-up and semifinalist of each category. 19.
