A discount of 5% is offered for a full term payment for private lessons as long as the fee is paid by the end of the second week of the term. 3 Payment of Fees Junior Group Lessons / Preps / Squads / Adult Groups Coaching fees are due and payable prior to the first lesson of the term. Your payment holds your position throughout the term. If you miss a lesson, we can try to organise a make up lesson (as long as there is an available position in a similiar type class), but unfortunately we are unable to give refunds or credits for lessons that you miss. Once the pupil has started the term, the term fee is due whether the pupil completes the term or not. Payments not made by the end of the second week will incur a $10 book keeping charge which will be added onto your reminder statement. Payment of Fees - Private Lessons Private lessons can be paid on a week to week basis prior to the start of the lesson or can be paid as a term fee. Paying for the whole term in advance attracts a 5% discount. This needs to be paid by the end of the 2 nd week of the term or the cost reverts back to a weekly fee. Half hour private lessons cost $28, and an hour is $55. In the event a pupil pays a term fee and a class has to be cancelled (e.g. due to wet weather), the cost will be credited against their account. Payment of Fees - Shared Private Lessons (also called semi-private lessons) The cost for a half hour private lesson is $28. If you share that lesson with another player, the cost will be billed as a term fee. That way if only one player turns up, it is not the other player s responsibility to pay for the entire lesson. Make Up Lessons If you miss a lesson, we can try and organise a make up lesson. Check with Chris. Make up lessons are subject to places (and a suitable alternative class) being available. Unfortunately we are unable to give refunds or credits for lessons that you miss. What to Wear to Lessons Clothing should be appropriate for the weather. Shorts and a T shirt when it s warm. Track pants and a windcheater for when it s cool. Don t wear clothing that will restrict your movement, e.g. jeans. Flat soled runners are also a must. Heels are not permitted on the courts. Bad Weather On rainy or very hot days, Junior Group and Prep lessons will still be held at the regular time, but will be held in the clubhouse. We have an indoor program prepared called Off Court Tennis. This includes quizzes, board games, puzzles, crosswords etc... all designed to educate the pupils about the rules, court positioning, tennis etiquette, tactics and the international tennis scene. And of course we still have our mini indoor tennis court with foam tennis balls. If it s raining or too hot, the lesson is still on. Private lessons, hitting sessions, squad training, and adult classes are all subject to the weather. We will always attempt to phone and advise you if the lesson is cancelled. Make sure we have a phone number that will get hold of you. If you have any doubts you can ring the Pro Shop after 3:30pm on Junior Training & Development Squads held at Frankston Tennis Club Monday FTC Elite Squad 7pm to 8:30pm (Advanced) Tuesday PTA Squad 6:30pm to 8:00pm (Intermediate/Advanced) Wednesday FTC Prince Squad 6:30pm to 8:00pm (Intermediate) Friday FTC Babolat Squad 5:30 to 7pm (Beginner/Intermediate) Friday PTA Squad 7pm to 8:30pm (Intermediate) **The FTC Squads are organised by Chris Chandler and run by Chris and his assistant es. **The PTA Squads are organised by the PTA and run by Chris. The squads are open to anyone with a strong desire to improve. Anyone can tryout for a squad. To be a part of a PTA squad you must be from the Frankston / Peninsula area. Talk to Chris to try out for any of these squads (assuming places are available) These squads are ideal for players that are already having lessons and want to speed up the development of their Skill, fitness and technique. 6 CARDIO DOUBLES At Frankston Tennis Club A Tennis Workout Classs for Adults Get your Tennis Fix More Tennis Less Time Have Fun Improve your doubles play Lose weight Improve your fitness Cardio Doubles is a one hour, fast paced, fun, led session for Adults that covers a wide variety of shots based around doubles play. It's a great way for adults to hit a lot of balls in a short period of time, perfect for those of us that are time poor. With an average of 4-6 people in a class, the focus is on competitive drills. Fitness is a by product. Cardio doubles has minimal ing. Who does Cardio Doubles? Men & Women who have played before, and don t have time to play competitions. We also have a beginner class. Mixed classes are popular. Organise your whole team or group of friends to come to a class. Adults looking to improve their fitness but are tired of gym workouts. People who cannot commit to regular attendance. What are the benefits? Ideal for people with limited time. More fun than the gym. Appeals to competitive instincts. Fast way for adults to improve their doubles. Great way to practice. Improve fitness / lose weight. Bookings / Times / Costs Class Times Currently we are running classes on Wednesdays & Thursdays at 6:30pm,. Morning classes are available on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9:30am. Check with Chris or at the Pro Shop for a current timetable, and class availability. Bookings You can book a class on a week to week basis, or book a block of 5 classes. Minimum number for the class to go ahead is 4 players (the perfect number is 6 per class). 24 hours notice is required for bookings or cancellations. Payment required in advance. If the class you want is full, you will be put on a waiting list until a spot becomes available. Costs - $12 per class or $50 for a block of 5 classes.
