2 Approximate Scheduling 15 years & Under Girls Singles 9.30am 11/10 15 years & Under Boys Singles 9.30am 11/10 15 years & Under Boys Midday 11/10 15 years & Under Girls /10 19 years & Under Girls Singles 9.30am 18/10 19 years & Under Boys Singles 9.30am 18/10 19 years & Under Boys Midday 18/10 19 years & Under Girls /10 Ages will be as at 31/12/2014. For example if you turn 15 in 2014 you can play 15. If you turn 16 in 2014 you will need to play 19 and under. ENTRY FEES: $5 per player per event i.e If you are playing Singles it is $5 and if a player is playing singles and doubles it is $10 If your school needs a tax invoice to pay the entry fees please secretary@qba.net.au to request an invoice. If players are paying themselves this can be paid on the day as they enter the venue. A schedule will be sent out by to the nominated contact on Thursday 9th October 2014 for the 11 th October and on Thursday 16 th October for the 18 th October and will also be on the QBA website For further information please secretary@qba.net.au

3 CONDITIONS OF PLAY 1. The Tournament Committee reserves the right to amend or add to these conditions as may be necessary and to cancel any event for which there are insufficient entries. 2. All matches will be played using the round robin format i.e 1 game to 21 points without setting using the rally point scoring system. Finals will be held where there are more than two groups and will also be 1 game to 21 points using the rally point scoring system without setting. 3. Feather shuttles will be used exclusively throughout the Tournament. 4. Any player participating in the tournament must, when called upon, act as a court official as required. 5. Players must be attired in clothing of their school. 6. If the Tournament is interrupted for any reason (power failure etc.) the Tournament Committee reserves the right to postpone any, or all events until such time or date they consider suitable, or to abandon matches or events. 7. ALL decisions of the Referee (or the responsible official for the time being) are FINAL. 8. Local conditions: It will be a fault if, in play, the shuttle hits the roof or other part of the hall structure. 9. All ages are determined as at 31 st December 2014 eg if you turn 15 in 2014 you are able to play 15 years and under. If you turn 16 in 2014 you will need to play. 10. Players that have represented Qld Badminton Association in a State Junior Team in 2013 or 2014 are not permitted to play. 11. In order to play in the tournament both players in a doubles combination must be from the same school. 12. Players are permitted to play in one age group only (i.e there age group or one higher). 13. Schools are permitted a maximum of 3 in any singles event in an age group and 4 in any doubles event in an age group.eg 3 in Girls Singles, 3 in Boys Singles, 4 Girls doubles or 4 Boys doubles pairs in 15 years and the same in 19 years and under. 14. By entering this event, the player hereby agrees and acknowledges that other players, coaches, managers, supporters, spectators, the organisers, administrators and any other person, shall have the right to: photograph and/or record on video all and any games or practice conducted during the course of the event, retain such photographs or video recordings for their own use of whatsoever nature, distribute such photographs or video recordings to any other party, display such photographs or video recordings during the event or any time thereafter, in any form whatsoever (including, but not limited to: promotional displays of the organisers and at any similar event, social network internet sites, the website(s) of the organisers of the event or Queensland Badminton Association PROVIDED THAT no such photographs or video recordings shall be used or retained for any illegal immoral or unseemly use or purpose. 15. Anti-Doping Information Badminton players in this tournament may be subject to In - Competition drug testing. Badminton players, coaches, officials and administrators of this tournament are subject to the Badminton Australia Anti-Doping Policy which has been endorsed by each State/Territory Association. You can obtain a copy of the policy from the Badminton Australia website - or by phoning the Badminton Australia Office
