5 Men Note : Competition schedule is depending on the exact number of final entries due the fact that it is developed on the basis of maximum entries of 32 men s team and 24 women teams. Please refer to competition schedule approved and published by the AVC Technical Delegate after the competition of 1st Drawing of lots. 6. Competition Rules The Beach Volleyball Competition of the 18th Asian Games will be held in accordance with the Federation International de Volleyball (FIVB) Official Beach Volleyball Rules Edition (and revision) and the Beach Volleyball Referee Guidelines, in force during the games time. In case of any disagreement in the language interpretation of the rules and regulations, the english version shall prevail. Any unforeseen cases not covered by the regulations and rules shall be resolved as follows : General issues : resolved in accordance with the OCA Constitution and Rules Technical issues : resolved in accordance with the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) Rules and Regulations. 7. Competition Format Beach Volleyball Competition of the 18th Asian Games will consist of a Preliminary Round and Single Elimination Phase for both genders Preliminary Round The principle of the preliminary round grouping will be decided in accordance the the number of final entries and will be stated in the specific competition regulation of Beach Volleyball Tournament at the 18th Asian Games. The seeding of the participanting teams will determined based on the FIVB and AVC Ranking points, if a host country team is ranked within the first 8 teams, then it would be receive seed #1 and the 2nd host country Page 29 of 38
