1 2019 The Lakes Region Juniors Volleyball Club is pleased to offer volleyball opportunities for young women in our 26th season! We have been a USA Volleyball registered club since Hundreds of local girls have enjoyed spirited competition, increased skill development and formed lasting friendships through their participation in the club. Lakes Region Juniors Volleyball Club is a New Hampshire nonprofit corporation dedicated to promoting the sport of volleyball. Payment will be done online by parents directly with USA Volleyball. Junior player registration with USA Volleyball is $60.00 yearly. This registration fee is required by all participants and is non-refundable. Our tryout process includes an evaluation of basic volleyball skills, physical fitness level, athletic ability, game play, court awareness, overall potential, attitude and effort. 2 2019 OPEN TEAM MEMBERSHIP OPTION OPEN TEAMS are for serious student athletes with the highest level of volleyball skill, physical fitness, athletic ability and varsity game experience. Our OPEN TEAMS have weekly practice sessions on Sundays for 2.5 hours, including 30 minutes off court for team activities. Additional midweek practices and strength training sessions may be scheduled. OPEN TEAMS will attend the New England Open Qualifiers to attempt to qualify for the Open Division, which is the highest level of play offered by our Region. 3 2019 CLUB TEAM MEMBERSHIP OPTION CLUB TEAMS are for student athletes who are interested in skill development and increased advancement of team play. Our CLUB TEAMS have weekly practice sessions on Sundays for two hours. Additional optional midweek practices may be scheduled. Lakes Region Juniors may offer CLUB TEAMS at all levels in 2019, including 14U, 15U, 16U, 17U and 18U. Final decision on team levels will be based on ages and abilities of the pool of applicants. 4 2019 LEAGUE TEAM MEMBERSHIP OPTION LEAGUE TEAMS are for student athletes who are interested in individual skill development and team play. LEAGUE TEAMS are also for players and families who cannot commit to traveling to tournaments but would like to learn more by participating in practices and scrimmages. The 2019 League coaches are experienced, enthusiastic and dedicated to teaching skills to players of all ages and ability levels! Our LEAGUE TEAMS have weekly two-hour practice sessions on Sundays for TWELVE weeks beginning on Sunday December 2 and concluding with a League Championship tournament and Awards Ceremony on Sunday February 17. LEAGUE TEAM practices will be held at the Inter- Lakes High School gym from 3:30-5:30 PM from Sunday December 2, 2018-Sunday February 17, LEAGUE TEAM COSTS -LRJ Registration fee: $20.00 Required in advance by November 3, 2018 Includes t-shirt!
