2 ABOUT Children are the most valuable part of our future. The goal of Buffalo Spikes for Tykes (BSfT) event is to come together as a community and help children who are less fortunate in Western New York. Since 2009, we ve raised over $240,000 for our community and the children in our hometown who need our help. This year s event and co-ed volleyball tournament will again raise money for the Kelly for Kids Foundation, started by former quarterback of the Buffalo Bills and Pro Football Hall of Famer, Jim Kelly. Proceeds of this event will go directly to this incredible organization.

3 THE 2017 EVENT The 2017 Event will feature: 80 Volleyball Teams, totaling over 500+ players from the WNY region Over 1000 guests, who will be on hand to cheer on the teams and support the event Each guest makes a $40 contribution for each ticket sold Live music and fully hosted bar from 12-4 p.m. Silent and live auction featuring autographed memorabilia from Hall of Fame NFL players and NHL All-Stars, as well as one-of-akind experiences Celebrity guests, including remarks by Jim Kelly VIP Cabanas and tables

5 PR/SOCIAL MEDIA The 2017 Buffalo Spikes For Tykes Event will create excitement, enthusiasm and awareness in the WNY region through a dedicated series of media activities to include: Press release announcement, media alerts (2), placement on local calendars, outreach to local media ahead of the event, post-event release to local media, along with invited photographers and journalists. The event will also engage participants and guests in a social media campaign using #blospikes4tykes on Facebook and Instagram.

6 PR/SOCIAL MEDIA Stang has been throwing events in the Buffalo area since he was 19. This year s tournament promises to be one of his biggest yet - Buffalo Rising 8/2015 Spikes for Tykes beach volleyball tournament Aug. 23 at Woodlawn Beach raised money for the Kelly For Kids Foundation that was started by NFL Hall of Famer Jim Kelly. 60 teams were present to compete in the daylong tourney - Buffalo News 8/2015

7 2016 GRANT RECIPIENTS SINCE 1999, BUFFALO SPIKES FOR TYKES HAS RAISED OVER $240,000 FOR KELLY FOR KIDS, WHO THEN AWARDS GRANTS TO LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS THAT SUPPORT YOUTH IN THE WNY AREA.
