Brink and Reckermann competed together for the first-time in Brink and Reckermann won four SWATCH gold medals in 2009 with nine final four finishes together in 10 events. Wu and Xu played in only one event in 2009 due to the Chinese National Games as the pair placed second in the season finale in Sanya, China, where they dropped the finale to Reinder Nummerdor and Richard Schuil of The Netherlands.
