COMPETITION FORMAT The 14 s pools will consist of 2 pools of 4 teams. The 4 team pools will play each other match play (best of 3 sets 2 sets to 25 points with the score starting at 4-4, no cap. The third set, if needed, is a deciding set to 15 starting at 0-0), no cap. The 15 s & 18 s pools will consist of 4 teams. In pool play the four team pools will play each other 3 sets to 25 points with the score starting at 4-4, no cap. The third set is not a deciding set. Note: Teams are requested to be on the court ready to play as soon as the previous game ends. ALL TIMES ARE SCHEDULE ARE APPROXIMATE PLAYOFFS In all age groups the 1 st and 2 th place teams from the pool will advance to Gold playoffs. The 14 s pools the 3 rd & 4 th place teams will advance to the Silver playoffs. The finals will be 2 out of 3 sets. The first 2 sets will be to 25 points starting at 4-4, no cap. The 3 rd set (if needed) will be to 15 points starting at 0 0, no cap. Work Team for the 15 s & 18 s Finals: The losing team from the previous match on the court is assigned to work the finals. If that team is playing in the finals then the work team will be the winning team from the previous match on the court. If both teams from this match are playing in the finals the work team from the previous match will work. PLAYING SITES: Court 1 Court 4 East Coast Athletics (Formerly Drive Sports Complex) 1717 NY Route 17M, Goshen, NY WORK TEAMS: Each team will provide a certified down official, certified scorekeeper, score flipper, libero tracker, 2 qualified lines persons for each work assignment. Coaches are required to remain at or near the scorer s table to assist the officiating crew with any questions that may arise. Pool play work schedules are listed. Teams that are late to officiate will be penalized in their next match, one point per minute when any member(s) of the officiating team are not available - to a limit of 21 points in the first game following each occurrence. PLAYOFF WORK TEAMS: A chart will be made available that indicates the work teams Do not leave the facility until you check with Tournament Desk SPORTSMANSHIP All players have signed a USA Volleyball Code of Conduct. Unsportsmanlike conduct by players, coaches, parents and other visitors will not be tolerated. IREVA SPECTATOR CODE OF CONDUCT WILL BE POSTED AND ENFORCED

3 POOL TIE BREAKING PROCEDURES: Ties will be broken with the following priorities: 1) Match/Set Record 2) Head to Head record 3) Head to Head point differential 4) Overall point percentage 5) Flip of a coin With the following exceptions: 1) The #3 tie breaker to determine playoff teams or Gold/Silver division will be a one 25 point game. 2) If three teams are tied, team with best head to head point differential receives a bye the remaining two will play one 15 point game. If the head to head point differential is tied overall point percentage will be used. The winner will play the team with a bye one 25-point game. If head to head point differential is the same overall point percentage will be used. 3) If four teams are tied, seed by head to head point differential and play 1 4 and 2 3. Then the winners play for the spot. NOTE: Forfeits or defaults, should they occur, will be counted as games played. WARM UP TIMES: Until each team has played once: 1) 2 minutes of ball handling 2) 4 minutes of court use, serving team (including serving) 3) 4 minutes of court use, receiving team (including serving) After each team has played once 1) 3 minutes of court use, serving team (including serving) 2) 3 minutes of court use, receiving team (including serving) NOTE: Serving can be part of a teams individual warm up, but must be requested at Captain s meeting RULES AND PROTESTS: All USAV rules apply (exception: uncorrectable physical plant constraints). The Site Head Official, Club Director and Tournament Director and/or Tournament Coordinator will act on all protests ASAP. Judgement calls are not subject to protest. All protest decisions are final. AWARDS: 1 st & 2 nd Place Team Award, for Gold & Silver division, 1 st & 2 nd Place individual awards CONCESSIONS: There will be a food and drink concession stand, selling food, soda, snacks, water, sports drinks and more Tournament T-shirts FACILITY: There will be space made available to teams surrounding the facility to set up camp. Thanks for cleaning up after yourselves! Space is limited; each team will be assigned to an area. Water ONLY in plastic bottles on gym floor. No ball handling will be permitted in the camping areas. East Coast Athletics grounds are a smoke free environment Parking & Camping space is limited. Please carpool wherever possible.
