THE SOUTH ALABAMA SERIES: A-State leads the all-time series against the Jaguars by a mark of The Red Wolves defeated South Alabama 3-2 in Jonesboro back on Oct. 4. THE ULL SERIES: The Red Wolves lead the all-time series with ULL by a count of The Ragin Cajuns took the meeting in Jonesboro earlier this season on Oct. 6 by a score of 3-0. DIGGING MACHINE 2000: Senior libero Megan Baska became only the second player in Arkansas State history to record 2,000 digs in a career. She recorded her 2000th career dig on her 10th dig of the night during the point of the second set against UT Arlington last Friday night. After another 13 digs against UALR Wednesday, she now has 2,030 career digs. CAN YOU DIG IT: Senior libero Megan Baska leads the Red Wolves in digs with 463 on the year. She led A-State with 13 digs against UALR. Her 4.50 digs per set average on the year ranks as the third best in the Sun Belt Conference. SENSATIONAL SADIE: Senior Sadie Clark became the first A-State player to eclipse 300 kills and has 315 this season Louisiana-Lafayette (15-10, 5-6 SBC) Sunday, Nov. 3 12:00 p.m. CDT Earl K. Long Gym (Lafayette, La.) Series: A-State leads after her 14 kill performance against UALR. She has a 3.09 kills per set average that ranks eighth in the Sun Belt Conference. KENDAL S KILLER NIGHT: Freshman Kendal Davis posted 10 kills against UALR, marking the first time she s reached double-digit kills this season. She became the fifth A-State player to eclipse the 100 kills mark this season and now has 108. KILLING IT WITH KELSEY: Senior Kelsey Sullivan was tied for the team lead in kills against UALR with 14 and now has the third most kills on the team this year with 230. Sullivan also added one block against the Trojans and has the second most blocks on the team with 80. THIS IS WARRINGTON: Freshman Mallory Warrington started at setter against UALR and led the team with 44 assists and 17 digs. This was her third doubledouble of the season and for the year she has 225 assists, 74 digs, and 18 kills. SERVING WITH CRNCIC: Shelby Crncic is second on the team in service aces with 17 and is the only Red Wolf to have more service aces (17) than service errors (14). She also ranks third on the team in digs with 161 this year. A SIDE OF REIS: Freshman Kelsey Reis leads A-State freshmen in kills (149) and is first on the team with a.261 hitting percentage. She is the team leader in blocks with 83 and blocks per set at She also leads the team in block solos with 14.

She is also third on the team in service aces with 16. HEUERTZ S HIGHS: Freshman Jessica Heuertz led the Red Wolves with four service aces against UAPB. Three of the four aces came in a span of four points in the third set. MCREE S CAREER NIGHT: Redshirt freshman Hannah McRee set career highs in kills (6), hitting percentage (.312), and block solos (1) against UAPB. BASKING IN THE GLORY: Libero Megan Baska was awarded her 11th career Sun Belt Conference Defensive Player of the Week award for her efforts during week seven of the season. She is the all-time record holder in the SBC for DPOW awards. DOUBLE VISION: Jackie Gerig registered her fifth double-double of the season against South Alabama Oct. 4 after handing out 54 assists and recording 12 digs. Her previous double-doubles came against Kennesaw State, Memphis, Mississippi State, and Troy. Mallory Warrington has added three double-doubles with hers coming against Texas State, UT Arlington, and UALR. ALL-TOURNAMENT RED WOLVES: Megan Baska earned a spot on the Belmont Bruin Classic All-Tournament Team during A-State s last tournament of the season, Sadie Clark was named to the Bama Bash All-Tournament Team and the Magnolia Invitational All-Tournament Team, Kelsey Sullivan was named to the Missouri Tiger Invitational All-Tournament Team, and Jackie Gerig was named to the Bama Bash All-Tournament Team. THE GREAT EIGHT: The Red Wolves feature players from eight different states this season. The states represent are Arkansas (1), Illinois (2), Indiana (1), Iowa (1), Kansas (4), Missouri (2), Nebraska (1), and Texas (5). SHORTEST TO TALLEST: Senior Shelby Crncic has the distinction of being the shortest player on the A-State roster this season coming in at 5 5, while there is a tie for tallest Red Wolf between redshirt freshman Hannah McRee and freshman Kelsey Reis with both registering a height of 6 3. SIBLING RIVALRY: Megan Baska s brother, David Baska, is entering his senior season as a punter on the Air Force Academy football squad and has also lettered two years on the Falcon baseball team. IT RUNS IN THE FAMILY: Senior Jackie Gerig has seven siblings and all of them are volleyball players. Four of them have played or are currently playing college volleyball. CLARK S DIVISION I FAMILY: Division I sports are not uncommon to Sadie Clark and the rest of her family. Her father, Steve, played football at Kansas State before playing in the NFL. Her older sister Destiny played volleyball at Arkansas and older brother Zac played football at Oregon. Currently, her younger brother Trace is playing football at Oklahoma State. LAST TIME OUT: JONESBORO, Ark. (10/30/13) The Arkansas State volleyball squad fell to in-state conference rival UALR 3-2 (28-26, 23-25, 11-25, 25-17, 15-12) Wednesday night at the Convocation Center. After a UALR (17-7, 9-3 SBC) first set win, A-State bounced back to take the next two sets to take a 2-1 match lead. In the second set, UALR jumped out to a 10-7 lead, but Arkansas State (11-16, 6-6 SBC) erased the lead on a Jackie Gerig service ace to tie the score at The set went back and forth and A-State claimed a lead at after a Trojan attacking error. The Red Wolves wouldn t surrender the lead the rest of the set and with the score tied two consecutive points on a Kelsey Reis kill and UALR attack error gave A-State the victory in the second set. With the match tied 1-1, A-State never trailed in the third set and jumped out to an early 10-6 lead after an attack error by UALR. The Red Wolves used an 11-3 run to take a 21-9 advantage after a Kendal Davis kill. The Trojans scored two of the next three points to make the score

After a UALR fourth set victory, the Red Wolves got off to a slow start in the deciding fifth set by allowing the Trojans to take a 3-0 edge. A-State fought back to within two points at 11-9 and trailed by two again at 14-12, but a kill from UALR s Sonja Milanovic gave the Trojans a fifth set victory and 3-2 match victory. I thought we fought hard and competed the whole night, A-State volleyball coach David Rehr said. It was unfortunate that we didn t get the win. I m proud of my team and how we carried ourselves on the court. Four Red Wolves recorded double-digit kills, led by Sullivan and Sadie Clark with 14 each, while Davis and Reis recorded 10 each. Warrington dished out 44 assists during the match to pace the Red Wolves and also led the team with 17 digs and two service aces. Megan Baska and Markie Schaedig also recorded double-digit digs for the Red Wolves with 13 and 12 respectively. Reis led the team with three blocks. A-State raced out to a 6-2 lead in the first set after a Sullivan kill and were able to stretch the lead to on another Sullivan kill. UALR fought back with an 11-4 run to tie the set at and took the lead at after an ASU attack error. A-State tied the set again at after a Clark kill, but an Arkansas State service error, followed by a Trojan service ace gave the Trojans a game one victory. UALR jumped ahead to a 10-6 lead in the fourth set of the match and never looked back in earning the game four victory to tie the match at 2-2.
