Last weekend, the Billikens defeated No. 5 Wake Forest 1-0 before falling 3-0 at No. 8 North Carolina. -- Saint Louis is ranked No. 19 in the country by Soccer America. The Billikens are receiving votes in the NSCAA and College Soccer News national polls. SLU is ranked fourth in the NSCAA Midwest Region. -- The Billikens were picked to finish first in the Atlantic 10 Conference coaches preseason poll for a fourth consecutive season. -- Freshmen Saadiq Mohammed and Leo Novaes were selected to the A-10 preseason All- Rookie team. -- There are 16 newcomers to the roster, including nine true freshmen. -- Saint Louis finished overall and in Atlantic 10 Conference play last year. ANTHONY BROWN DRAWS RECOGNITION AFTER DRAMATIC GOAL -- Sophomore forward Anthony Brown drew plenty of attention for his game-winning goal at Wake Forest on Friday. -- Goalkeeper Sascha Otte started the scoring play with a long goal kick, which eventually found Brown at the top of the box. His perfectly placed strike tucked under the crossbar for the game s only goal. -- For his effort, Brown was tabbed the Atlantic 10 Conference Offensive Player of the Week. -- The tally was selected as the College Goal of the Week on TopDrawerSoccer.com, drawing more than 4,500 fan votes. -- In case you missed it, a.gif of the goal is pinned at the top of Twitter account. OTTE AMONG TOP KEEPERS IN COUNTRY -- Junior goalkeeper Sascha Otte, who made several dazzling saves to keep the shutout intact at Wake Forest, is tied for second in the NCAA with nine saves per game. -- Among all active NCAA Division I goalkeepers, Otte is fourth in the nation with 20 career shutouts. He is the only junior ranked among the top 10 in the category. Eric Kenofsky (Monmouth) is the NCAA s active leader with 28 career shutouts.

He has played every minute for the Billikens since his freshman year, with the exception of last year s Senior Night game when David Andre played for the Bills. COACHING STAFF -- Mike McGinty is in his seventh season with the Billikens. The two-time A-10 Coach of the Year has a record of McGinty has coached 10 Billikens who have been selected in the MLS Draft. -- Former Billiken Brian Grazier ( ) is in his third season as an assistant coach. Another former Billiken, Michael Robson ( ), is in his second season as an assistant under McGinty. SCOUTING TULSA -- Tulsa enters tonight s match with a 1-1 record. -- The Golden Hurricane are coming off a 3-0 victory at home against UMKC on Wednesday. In its season opener last weekend, Tulsa dropped a 2-1 decision at California State Northridge. -- Tulsa finished last season and made its second consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance. -- Saint Louis leads the all-time series with Tulsa 9-4.
