1 CORNHOLE RULES o 2 players per team (1 teammate on each side of the boards) o When pitching, you must not cross the front of the board o Each team takes turns pitching o Rock, paper, scissors will determine first team to throw, first inning. After first inning, winning team of each inning throws first in the next inning. o First team to 21 points, the side that throws 2 nd has the last throw o Points are calculated after each complete inning. o Calculating points: Take the high throwers points and minus the low throwers points, the high thrower then takes remaining points to add to their team score. 2 HORSESHOE RULES (21; no Bust) 1. Any shoe must be within one horseshoe-width (measured across the outside of the open end of the shoe) of the stake to be considered for points. 2. The closest shoe to the stake gets 1 point. 3. If you have two shoes closer than any of your opponent's, you get 2 points. 4. Ringers are worth 5 points each and must completely encircle the stake so the ends can be touched with a straight-edge without touching the stake. 5. If you have the closest shoe and a ringer, it's 6 points. 6. If your opponent throws a ringer on top of yours, they cancel and no points are scored. 7. Leaners are worth 3 point and are considered closer than any adjacent shoe except ringers. Horseshoes is sponsored by the City of Haskell. 3 VOLLEYBALL RULES Rally Scoring In the volleyball tournament, rally scoring is used. This means that at the conclusion of each point, either the serving team or the receiving team will earn a point. If the serving team wins the point, it gains a point on the scoreboard and retains the serve. If the receiving team wins the point, it gets a point on the scoreboard and it gains control of the ball and serves the next point. Tournament Play Tournament is first to 21 points. The Championship Round will go to 25 points. After each round, the teams will be updated on the Tournament Bracket, which will be located by the Concession Stand. Championship Round 2 undefeated teams play to 21 Rules -Each team consists of no more than 6 players on the court at one time; 3 female, 3 male. - Games will play until first team who scores to 15 points; win by 2 and cap at 21 -All games will play using All-Rally Scoring Rules. Beginning of each game Each game will start with rock, paper, scissors. The winning team will have one of two options: choose to serve first or choose which side they prefer to play on (not both). Penalties & Forfeits A full team consists of 6 players. Each team consists of 3 female and 3 male. If you do not meet the minimum requirements, game will be forfeited. Note: you may not substitute players from other teams for your team; team members must be turned in at registration. Play -A legal serve in is one that crosses the net and is either touched by an opposing player or lands within the opposing team s area of the court within the boundary lines. A serve that makes contact with the net and carries over to the opponent s side of the net is a live serve and must be returned. -Servers must rotate after each sideout; failure to rotate servers will cost your team a point. After the serve, players may move anywhere they like, but before serve, rotation must remain consistent (diamond or square formation) -Setting the serve is legal as long as the ball is not caught or carried. -The server may not step on or over the end line until the ball has been contacted. The width of the service area is from sideline to sideline. The depth of the service area is infinite.

4 -There is no male/female hitting rule. -A defensive block does not count as one of the allowable contacts. A player may reach over the net to block a ball if: a. Any portion of the ball breaks the plane of the net. b. After the offense has come in contact with the ball on the third attempt. c. If on the second contact, the setter is NOT setting, but rather attacking -The serve may not be blocked or spiked. Players can return the serve by: a. Bump pass b. Clasping their hands together c. A closed fist d. A set (AS LONG AS THE BALL IS NOT CAUGHT OR CARRIED) -No part of the body may touch the net at any time unless a ball or person driven into the net causes the contact. Player contact with the net in a manner not directly relating to or affecting the course of play is not a violation. Contact with hair or part of the uniform will not be considered a fault. -Contact of the ball when spiking is legal only if a portion of the ball is in contact with the plane of the net or on the spiker s side of the net. Spikers may follow through over the net after legal contact. -The ball must be cleanly hit when spiking with an open hand. Guiding or carrying is illegal. *A carry is any use of an open hand(s) while making contact with the ball that is not in a firm manner* -Out of bounds is the area outside the designated court line. -A player may touch but not completely cross over the center line with his/her foot. -The ball can contact any number of body parts down to, and including the foot. -one player may not hit the ball twice in a row. 5 INDIVIDUAL TOURNAMENT RULES Teams may enter individual tournaments without entering the Triple Threat. Volleyball: See official rules $60.00 to enter Cornhole: See official Rules $20.00 to enter Horse Shoes: see official rules. $20.00 to enter Triple Threat Grand Prize Rules [total $ to enter ($60 VB, $20 CH, $20 HS)] To be eligible to win the Grand Prize for the Keep Haskell Beautiful Triple Treat Tournament, teams must: 1. Have at least one team entered each tournament (Volleyball, Cornhole & Horseshoes) 2. Teams MUST indicate prior to playtime (during registration), that they are entering to participate in the Triple Threat a. Example: 6 members for volleyball (3 female, 3 male); 2 of those enter the cornhole tournament, 2 different ones enter horse shoes) Scoring for Triple Threat Scoring for the Triple Threat is as follows: o Cornhole and Horseshoes are double elimination, scoring for these events are as the official rules state for each event. Volleyball is single elimination and will have points associated with each place. o Cornhole and Horseshoes will be played simultaneously, volleyball with start after these events. o The brackets will have points for each event o KHB officials will tally points Volleyball team place points + cornhole team points + horseshoe team points = points used to determine winners of Triple Threat. Team with most points wins $ In the event of a tie breaker, for Grand Prize, a Volleyball Game will be played o If all members from the entire team want to play Cornhole and Volleyball o Example: you have 2 sets of teams for horseshoes and 1 team in cornhole (this will be allowed) BUT Only one of the cornhole team points will count

6 The team points being used, must be decided at registration 2 nd team enters as an individual team (pays $20, but does not get to count points for Grand Prize) More than six players per team are allowed (10 max) Examples: 6 volleyball, 2 cornhole, 2 horseshoes = 10 maximum players o All team members MUST be noted at registration Grand Prize for the Triple Threat Tournament is Bailey Toliver Chevrolet.
