10 60 Minutes Controlled 6v6 Situational Play starts with serving. Then coaches alternate entering 2 balls to each side for a total of 5 balls or 1 Round. will wave after EACH round (5 balls) - switching by position. SIDE B rotates 's every Round (5 balls) from L-Front to R-Front to M-back, to see them play all 3 pin locations. SIDE B will wave completely off, and introduce six new athletes, every 3 ROUNDS or 15 balls total. PHASE 2: serving the first ball on. in back row (both and SIDE B) must force a right side set on the FIRST ball of each new rally. PHASE 3: serving the first ball on. in front row (both and SIDE B) must force back row set on FIRST ball of each new rally. **For younger age groups or groups having a hard time with serve receive, coaches may enter balls into Side B to initiate game and follow with alternating free balls. ** Use this time to watch the athletes on Side B and adjust your initial evaluations. You should place a higher priority on the live play of the athletes, so evaluations often change during this time. If you need to evaluate a player, ask the court coaches to move that player to Side B for observation. If you have a complete evaluation on a player, you may also ask them to remain on Side A. **6v6 should not be made into directly ranked courts of athletes. (ex. Top 1, 2, 3, 4 Bottom). Try to intermix athletes as much as possible within a designated Top 2 courts and then intermix athletes that are in the Bottom 2 courts. Move athletes to see them against or with others as much as needed, but do not create courts in a descending order. ** LIB SIDE B (stays for 3 ROUNDS, 15 Balls) LIB LIB LIB LIB 10
