The 2018 season is shaping up to be an amazing experience for all, highlighted by nine unique tour stops. AVP events embrace the beauty of our sport and the lifestyle, and we look forward to sharing this with the community in Hermosa Beach Besides watching the world-class athletes battle for the podium, attendees can enjoy an interactive sponsor village experience, partake in top local food options, VIP hospitality zones, unique beer gardens, and fun physical activities. In addition, our grassroots programs continue to grow and make great strides in uniting the sport of beach volleyball by systematically tapping every market in America. 3 The AVP in Manhattan Beach is one of three events in Southern California this 2018 season. Manhattan Beach is a part of the AVP s Gold Series, which brings the intensity up a notch due to the elevated points and prize purse. Year after year this stop consistently brings heated competition and is known as the Super Bowl of Beach Volleyball. The AVP Gold Series also means the race to Hawaii. Based on their best two finishes in the Gold Series, two teams will receive automatic bids to Hawaii! The Manhattan Beach Open is the seventh of nine tour stops and the energy is up as the athletes push to make their mark on the 2018 season. This event brings out the absolute best in our athletes and fans leading us into an exciting end of the summer! In 2017, the AVP saw Nick Lucena, Phil Dalhausser, Emily Day, and Brittany Hochever take home first place in the Manhattan Beach Open. Who will take it home in 2018?

Movie on the Beach August 17 6:00-9:00 PM Don't forget your beach chairs, blankets, and snacks as we watch a FREE screening of Penguins of Madagascar on stadium court! AVPFirst Community Corner August 19 10:30-12:30 PM Through a series of training experiences, the AVPFirst Community Corner introduces beach volleyball to hundreds of underserved youth and their families. All this through the integration of AVP pro athletes and coaches into the program, positive messaging, and stadium court experiences for kids.

8 Amazon Prime Video The 2018 AVP Manhattan Beach Open will be available to watch on Amazon Prime Video. Viewers will have access to live match coverage, expert commentary and analysis, exclusive on-court interviews with players and coaches, and post-match discussions. NBC Sports Network The 2018 AVP Manhattan Beach Open will premiere LIVE on NBC from 1:00 3:30 PM PT on Sunday, August 19th.
