Coffee drinking, crazy driving space aliens are accompany tonight s rally. They are driving a cloaked space ship of the saucer variety and will be overhead of the rally traffic on the same route. These aliens make several Pit Stops where they have to un- cloak their ship to land. They drink copious amounts of coffee, so watch for them on the route. Instructions on how to get to I- 90: L from the parking lot where you entered; L at signal onto 228 th traveling south to a roundabout on E Lk Sammamish; L though the roundabout toward Issaquah; stay onto E Lk Sammamish and I- 90 crosses this road. Redmond/I- 520: L from the parking lot where you entered; R at signal onto 228 th traveling north (this road changes into Sahalee Way); L onto Redmond Fall City Rd (this road changes to Redmond Way); I- 520 crosses this road just as you enter Redmond, R to Bellevue on I- 520 or straight into Redmond.

5 NOTE: POT HOLES The alien space ship lands to check out what a rough road looks like. They are glad they don t have to travel in cars! PAUSE 10 at ROUGH ROADWAY AHEAD. NOTE: TWILIGHT ZONE There is your car and the open road, the fabled lure of adventure. You stand at the verge... of the Twilight Zone. Space aliens do not yield to anyone, so when they see an earth pedestrian crossing sign, they land for a closer look. PAUSE 5 AT NOTE: OUTER LIMITS Space Aliens control your speedometer. NOTE: TWILIGHT ZONE and NOTE: OUTER LIMITS are still in effect. Commentary (You can save this for reading later): Note OUTER LIMITS should have been executed once (it was before NRI 36). If you failed to change speed to 53, you are 17 seconds late (for on- course cars executing NRI 37). NRI 37 was the correct ITIS instruction to execute. If you failed to see the NO LEFT TURN sign at NRI 35 or you didn t start your odometer to watch for rally traffic and you used ITIS NRI 36 instead, then you are 30 seconds early. SPEED AT OUTCONE 29 Instruction: The Outcone is 0.74 miles ahead CANCEL NOTE: OUTER LIMITS NOTE: TWILIGHT ZONE is still in effect. INTRODUCE NOTE: POT HOLES Commentary (You can save this for reading later): If you didn t notice the speed change (from CAST 23 to 25) on the checkpoint 1 handout, you are 6 seconds late. Note OUTER LIMITS should have been executed twice. The first was after NRI 40, shortly after entering the highway. If you failed to CAST 53, you are 2 second late. The second was after NRI 46. If you failed to CAST 53, you are 10 seconds late.

CANCEL NOTES: TWILIGHT ZONE and POT HOLES. NO NOTES IN EFFECT. Commentary (You can save this for reading later): If you failed to use NOTE POT HOLES at the sign ROUGH ROADWAY AHEAD (just past the outcone of checkpoint 2), you are 10 seconds early. After NRI 57, you should have gone straight on W Snoqualmie Valley Rd because you were ONTO this road, if you went L on 80th across the valley to the stop at NRI 59, (you would not have executed ITIS NRI 58) you are 29 seconds late. Oh and note TWILIGHT ZONE? There was never any such sign on this route (although there are several in Port Angeles).
