1 100 Parkers Mill Oswego, IL (630) IL 71 TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Tentatively scheduled for April 21st A new traffic pattern from Paradise to Wolf Crossing on IL 71 will be in use. The westbound traffic will utilize the westbound outside lane next to the curb and the eastbound lane will use the newly constructed eastbound lane next to the curb. Traffic will be split, so that the median work can be completed. Traffic will still be able utilize the completed sections of median to have access to the businesses, private drives, etc. Calumet Street at IL 71 will be a right turn in and a right turn out as in the final configuration of the plans.

Remove existing pavement and earthwork in the IL71/Orchard intersection area Pour pavement in the IL 71/Plainfield intersection Install noise wall Wednesday, April 20, A new traffic pattern will be implemented in the IL71/Orchard intersection area; traffic will utilize the newly constructed temporary pavement on the north side of IL 71.

3 IL 71 TRAFFIC ADVISORY: The contractor will close both existing entrances to Oswego High School on Monday, November 9, Temporary entrances will be used to enter Oswego High School during this closure. Paving will begin on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 starting from the east and traveling west. Concrete paving will continue for the next three weeks. Many intersections will be opened and closed throughout this period to accommodate the concrete work. Additionally, the contractor has scheduled on Monday, Nov. 9th, that Paradise and Wilmette intersections will be opened. The south leg of Forest will be closed. A marked detour route will be in place.

Paving will begin on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 starting from the east and traveling west. Concrete paving will continue for the next three weeks. Many intersections will be opened and closed throughout this period to accommodate the concrete work.

5 IL 71 TRAFFIC ADVISORY: The intersection of Paradise and IL 71 will be closed on Friday, October 30th after 10am. The intersection of Wilmette and Plainfield will be closed on Monday, November 2nd. The contractor will be placing concrete pavement in these intersections. A marked route detour sign will be in place for each closure..

6 IL 71 TRAFFIC ADVISORY: The Illinois Department of Transportation announces that traffic on IL 71 will be rerouted onto the new concrete pavement between Orchard Road and US 34 early next week. After that, the contractor will continue placing storm sewers and removing the remaining old pavement. Motorists are advised to watch for changing traffic patterns and workers along the roadway. IL 71 is expected to be very congested during this work and motorists may want to consider alternate routes around the work zone. Message boards at the project limits will indicate major delays are expected so motorists can reroute if desired. The intersection of Paradise and IL 71 will be closed for a few of hours during the traffic pattern switch on Monday. The IL 71 existing pavement will have to be removed due to the grade difference between the existing pavement and new pavement.

7 IL 71 TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Through January 1, 2016, the contractor will be working expeditiously to make up for lost work time due to recent inclement weather. During this time, the contractor may be working day or night depending on the weather conditions. Their core work hours will be from 5am to 8pm. The contractor s work effort may be noisy. 8 IL 71 TRAFFIC ADVISORY: IDOT announced today that it will close the west leg of Forest Avenue to all traffic beginning on Tuesday, August 4, The closure is anticipated to last two-weeks, weather permitting. Crews will reconstruct Forest Avenue and connect it to the new IL 71 pavement. Access to local homes on Forest Avenue, please use Judson Avenue. IL 71 and the south leg of the intersection will remain open to traffic. IDOT will install signs for a local detour.

9 IL 71 Traffic Advisory for Week of June 22 IDOT is scheduled to pave IL 71 between US 34 and Main Street in Oswego during the week of June 22. IDOT will close Franklin Street on Monday, June 22 to facilitate construction in this area. Motorists should expect delays in the vicinity of Oswego High School and take alternate routes. IDOT issued the following notice to the Village today: Over the next 6-8 weeks, the contractor will be working expeditiously to make up for lost work time due to the wet Spring we have been experiencing. During this time, the contractor may be working day or night depending on the weather conditions. The core hours will be from 5 am to 8pm. The contractor s work effort may be noisy. 10 IL 71 TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Late this afternoon, IDOT informed the Village of its intentions to pave IL 71 starting at 5:00 AM on Wednesday morning, June 17. The IDOT contractor will place concrete pavement along IL 71 from Orchard Road to just east of Main Street. Motorists should expect significant delays and take alternate routes, if possible. There will be many trucks entering and leaving the roadway in this area. The contractor will work well into the evening/night to saw contraction joints into the new pavement. The Village will pass along any additional updates provided by IDOT through our social media outlets.

11 IL Route 71 Update IL 71 Paving Postponed to Monday, June 22 IDOT has postponed the paving of IL 71 due to recent rain. The paving, originally scheduled for Tuesday, June 16, is now scheduled for Monday, June 22, weather permitting. Franklin Street is scheduled to be reopened to traffic by the end of the day on Wednesday. IDOT will have a small crew working Thursday and Friday on miscellaneous items. There will be no trucks entering and leaving the roadway and no flaggers to disrupt traffic during PrairieFest weekend. The Village will pass along any additional updates provided by IDOT through our social media outlets.

14 NOTICE Due to the day lights saving time ending this weekend, the contractor will be starting their construction activities before 7am. Duration: Starting Monday, November 3, 2014 and lasting approximately 4 to 8 weeks. The contractor will be preforming varies construction activities which may create a noisy condition. The Department of Transportation regrets any inconveniences.

15 NOTICE The contractor will be working on the IL 71 roadway project at NIGHT from approximately 7pm to 7am along the high school. Duration: Starting Sunday night, September 21 th and lasting approximately two to four weeks depending on weather conditions. The contractor will be excavating rock which may create a noisy condition. The Department of Transportation regrets any inconveniences.
