Enhancement program (combined separated programs; old TAP) Not a grant program (no dollar match required) Pre-construction cost to project sponsor/owner Program funds construction costs only (shovel ready) Competitive selection process

5 How Much Funding Is Available? $13 million statewide (FFY 2018) $55M over 3-yrs Anticipated that Commonwealth will award all 3-yrs of funding this round $661,000 in Lehigh Valley (FFY 2018) $1.98M over 3-yrs Anticipated that LVTS will award 2- years of funding this round All awards anticipated in early 2018

6 Is My Project Eligible? Funding minimum = $50,000 Funding maximum = $1 Million but, Soft Cap Exceptional Value Exception to $1 million Soft Cap Closes a major transportation gap Addresses a significant safety concern Benefits a substantial # of users Provides another substantial benefit

8 Is My Organization Eligible? Non-Profit Entities Qualifier: Must be responsible for the administration of local transportation safety programs

Regional Transportation Authorities Qualifier: County Recreational Trails Authorities County Recreational Authorities Urban Redevelopment Authorities Municipal Authorities only if establishing document specifically cites transportation or recreation as a stated purpose. Industrial development authorities, for instance, would not be eligible.
