11 Community Survey Conducted March 1 st to April 15 th Developed in English, Spanish and Haitian-Creole Available online Paper copies provided at 3 locations along corridor Total of 161 responses Majority of respondents: ages and over 65 years of age Majority live/work in 32308

12 Community Survey Results Biggest Challenges: Crossing at intersections Bad driver behaviors (drivers do not yield) Crossing behavior: 38% always cross at intersection or crosswalk 12% always do not cross at intersection or crosswalk 50% often do not cross at intersections or crosswalk 42% cross all lanes at gaps/ breaks in traffic Most preferred improvements: Better lighting Increased presence of law enforcement Wider sidewalks with greater separation from road Pedestrian warning signs/flashing beacons at crosswalks Special signal phasing and pedestrian signs
