The experience offers you an exclusive day with our expert photographer, Jason Brown within the historic and picturesque setting of Marwell zoo, and the opportunity to view from several public and restricted access areas creating great opportunities for taking unique photographs. Maximum of six participants per day per person The Adult Experience Day Includes: Entry to the park during opening hours on the day Exclusive photographic tuition from Jason Brown Free Car parking Fair-trade tea/ coffee and biscuits Sandwich lunch including crisps, fruit and flasks of fair trade tea/ coffee A variety of special photographic access areas to a variety of animal enclosures around the park Experience day certificate 1
2 The Adult Experience Day Itinerary: 9.00am Arrive and Welcome Meet our photography expert at admission to Marwell Zoo and walk to the Hall 9.30am Safety Briefing and Refreshments Over tea and coffee at Marwell Hall, you'll meet your Marwell guides for the day. You ll be given an introduction and safety briefing which is essential given the exclusive access you ll enjoy throughout the day. You will also have the opportunity to suggest areas you might like to focus on for your personal photographic development through the day. 9.45am Out and About The group will head out into the park and be guided around a variety of enclosures at a relaxed pace, giving you time to enjoy the animals as well as taking some stunning photos. Jason will talk through photographic techniques as you go, you will also get to enjoy some special access areas these may include Tigers, Giraffes, Lemurs, Rhinos pm Lunch The group will head back to the Hall where lunch will be waiting. Sit down to recharge your batteries and discuss your morning session looking at the photographs from your day so far pm Out and About The group will head out into the park again to finish exploring the zoo at a relaxed pace for the second half of your day, Jason will once again talk through photographic techniques as you go, enjoying some more special access areas on the way around the park in the afternoon. 2.45pm De-brief and Free time in the Park At the end of the day you'll head back to the Hall for the final time to look over your images and discuss your day. Though you'll be saying goodbye to your guides, the park will remain open and you'll be free to roam as you please within the public areas of the zoo until closing time- see below for times. *This itinerary is a guide. The timing and content of the day is subject to change at short notice according to availability of staff, animal welfare, feeding routines and husbandry requirements. The final itinerary will be designed to maximise opportunities for the best possible photographs on the day. * Vegetarian sandwiches will be provided as part of lunch refreshments January 2014 Page 2 of 15

Clothing should be in neutral colours, no bright colours please as this may upset the animals. It may be necessary, due to animal husbandry reasons, for participants to use a disinfectant footbath. Please ensure suitable, robust footwear is worn. Access to restricted or special access areas is subject to operational circumstances and is liable to change at no notice on the day. As only a limited number of experiences are available, we advise you book as early as possible to avoid disappointment. Times may vary depending on season. 4 Terms and Conditions for the Adult Photographic day Due to animal health or staffing issues, Marwell cannot guarantee that the experience day will go ahead as per the itinerary. Marwell will endeavour to continue with the event but in the event that the day cannot go ahead Marwell reserves the right to cancel the day and offer another date as an alternative or in the event this cannot be accommodated Marwell will offer participants a full refund. The Itinerary is a guide and is subject to change at short notice and on the day itself. The final itinerary will be designed to maximise opportunities for the best possible photographs on the day. The package covers a maximum of 6 guests and a minimum of 3 guests Payments are non transferrable and of the payment is non refundable Payment is required in full on booking. If due to circumstances Marwell has to cancel the day a full refund will be given to participants, in the event participants have to cancel the following cancellation fees will apply. Should the client wish to cancel their confirmed booking Marwell must receive notification in writing and the following fees will be applicable o o o More than 14 days notice of the payment will be retained by Less than 14 days notice 100% of the total payment will be retained by Failure to attend on the day - 100% of the total payment will be retained by Experiences include general admission for the participant, any additional guests may purchase tickets at admissions on the day between park hours, however, they will not be able to take part in the experience. Waiver of Liability accepts no liability for any person or body for any loss, injury or property damage from any action or cause whatsoever undertaken at the park. Participants must abide by staff instructions at all times. Due to the nature of this day participants must be physically fit and suffering no severe health problems. For insurance purposes, the scheme is only available to those aged 16 years and over and unfortunately cannot accommodate wheelchair users in this instance due to access restrictions in some of the special access areas. Please be advised that it is your responsibility to inform us if you have any medical condition (e.g. pregnancy) that you or your doctor feel we should be aware of in order to ensure your safety. Please note that for health and safety reasons, pregnant women will not be able to participate in this experience. Please do not apply if you have any convictions relating to animals. Please state any disabilities to enable us to try and adapt our encounters to suit Marwell wildlife has a zero tolerance policy for abusive behaviour or abuse towards its staff, any guests acting in abusive manner towards a member of staff within the park will be asked to leave the park. 5 It is a condition of participation that guests observe all warning signs, do not venture over safety barriers and do not enter the parks off limit areas, unless instructed and supervised by staff. Any party member found not following any of the parks health and safety policies may result in the whole party being asked to leave the park reserves the right to change the Photographic day experience at any time. If you have an experience day booked and changes are made between booking and to the date of your day no refund or reduction in price will be given. Park Rules When using our facilities we do ask that everyone observes the following park rules: - Do not feed the animals Do not cross the safety barrier Please keep the park tidy No pets in the park No radios Please do not use whistles No ball games No unaccompanied children allowed January 2014 Page 5 of 15
6 Junior Photographic Experience Days Whatever your ability or interest in photography, whether you want to learn to take better photographs or simply want to learn about how your camera works, our Junior Photographic Experience Days are a must for all fans of wildlife photography aged years, providing a unique opportunity to capture some spectacular images of Marwell s exotic and endangered species. The experience offers young people an exclusive day with our expert photographer Jason Brown in a wonderful location, and the opportunity to view from public and restricted access areas creating great opportunities for taking unique photographs. For this experience we ask that each young person is accompanied by one adult/parent, who will accompany their child on the whole of the experience. There is no additional charge for the parent accompanying the child, with refreshments included for the accompanying adult per child including one accompanying adult The Junior Experience Day Includes: Entry to the park during opening hours on the day for both young person and parent or guardian Exclusive photographic tuition for the young persons from Jason Brown Free Car parking Flasks of squash/ fair-trade tea/ coffee and biscuits Sandwich lunch including crisps, fruit and flasks of squash/ fair trade tea/ coffee A variety of special photographic access areas to a variety of animals for the participants only ( accompanying parents can watch from public areas) Experience day certificate for each young person January 2014 Page 6 of 15
7 The Junior Experience Day Itinerary 9.00am Arrive and Welcome Meet our photography expert at the main admission gate to and walk to the Hall 9.30am Safety Briefing and Refreshments Over refreshments at Marwell Hall, you'll meet the staff responsible for you for the day. You will be given an introduction and safety briefing which is essential given the exclusive access you ll enjoy throughout the day. You will also have the opportunity to suggest areas you might like to focus on for your personal photographic development. 9.45am Out and About The group will head out into the park and be guided around a variety of enclosures at a relaxed pace, giving you time to enjoy the animals as well as taking some stunning photos. Jason will talk through photographic techniques as you go, you will also get to enjoy some special access areas these may include Tigers, Giraffes, Lemurs, Rhinos pm Lunch The group will head back to the Hall where lunch will be waiting for you, sit down, re-charge your batteries and discuss your morning session looking at the photographs from your day so far pm Out and About The group will head out into the park again to finish exploring the zoo at a relaxed pace for the second half of your day, Jason will once again talk through photographic techniques as you go, enjoying some more special access areas on the way around the park in the afternoon. 2.45pm De-brief and Free time in the Park At the end of the day you'll head back to the Hall for the final time to look over your images and discuss your day. Whatever your ability or interest in photography, whether you want to learn to take better photographs, a seasoned professional, or looking to learn more about photographing animals at dusk then our exclusive twilight photographic evening is a must The experience offers you an exclusive afternoon and evening with our expert photographer, Jason Brown within the historic and picturesque setting of Marwell zoo, and the opportunity to view from public and restricted access areas creating great opportunities for unique photographs. You will also receive your participation certificates during this time. 5.00pm Exclusive Out and About The zoo will now be closed so the group will be able to enjoy exclusive park access. Taking all your belongings with you, you will head out into the park to capture some wonderful photographs of some of Marwell s animals in the evening light. This is when Marwell s animals can be most active so have you cameras ready! 8.15pm Finish *This itinerary is a guide.
