SE, Willamette Room A, Albany OR. Visitors are welcome. The Walkers Wok 5:15 at Burgerville, 2310 Santiam Hwy SE, Albany. Friends of Jefferson Library has a fundraiser there receiving a portion of the sales between 5 and 8. We can help support their efforts to raise money toward building a new library in Jefferson. Please order when you arrive. This gives us time to arrive at the meeting by 7pm. 1

3 Albany Fitwalkers Annual Picnic August 12, 2015 Again held in the Harrison s fabulous back yard attended by 33 members and guests awards for work at the 19th Biennial AVA Convention Rozy AVA Certificate of Appreciation for her work as Bus Coordinator (and local story teller/historian). Jan - AVA Certificate of Service as AVA Convention Treasurer. Albany Fitwalkers AVA Certificate for staffing the Silver Falls Walk during the convention. OTSVA FLAME AWARDS Bev received a certificate from OTSVA for inspirational support of the Fitwalkers club. Nancy received the Flame Award Trophy for her enthusiasm and inspiration. Don with Mary by his side, received the Outstanding Inspiration Trophy.. ALBANY FITWALKERS AWARDS Karen W was awarded the Golden Shoes for excellence, enthusiasm and inspiration. Frances received a certificate of appreciation for her many years and contributions to the club, making her an Honorary Albany Fitwalker for life, with no more dues to pay! 3

HAPPY BIRTHDAY September Randy 9/4, Bev 9/28 The Prez sez We've had a great year so far. Lets finish strong.i think we have a solid club that's been real successful. Lets all work hard to bring in new walkers and/or new members. Let's find new way's to make our communities aware of us and what we're about. Next year we hope to have three new event's. One is the Historic YRE, Revised and two seasonal event:. A 25k bike and a walk along the cow pie (Calapooia River). Don, Albany Fitwalkers President Julia in the Press Julia, as a Willamette Wonderer, was interviewed by the free monthly Northwest Boomer & Senior News about her AVA urban walking and the club. The article is in the August 2015 issue found in libraries, senior citizen centers, and around town.
