3 Started month: $177, Ended month: $177, No big outstanding expenses 2017 tax return is complete, not yet mailed More money from Winter Training continues to keep coming in Will figure in Winter Training into the budget moving forward March 2018 Budget Melissa LaBar, Fields Director: (Not present, notes provided) Letters/ s went out for fall field requests today Volunteer field lining is going ok o There are volunteers, just not as many as I would like o Will send another blast out Waiting on response from Nazareth Maintenance dept to see if they are going to allow us to aerate and seed Lower Nazareth over the summer Considerations o Taking more active approach with fields Additional over-seeding More contract work for field maintenance? o Potentially more fields with the current expansion of select fields/locations in Lower Nazareth We have the new corner flags. They are in black bags in the storage boxes at the fields. They are collapsible. (I'll be picking up the old ones from the fields.) An was sent to all coaches letting them know about the corner flags and responsibility of putting them up and putting them away. I will be getting with George as we will need to order more nets and clips. Plus getting 2 Allstate nets for Lucas from George Denger. (These will need to be put on lower Lucas as they make the nets like kites when it's windy.) I know this because I had one blow across the field on upper and land over my vehicle during a game delay for a storm that blew in. Will be moving the job site box today from holy cross to upper Essroc (as soon as my kid is done at the skate park). Will also be putting the nets on those goals at upper Essroc. Paint is ordered (60 cases of white, 10 cases of yellow). Scheduled to be delivered this week. Will deliver to all fields first and remainder will go into shed. (Ginny was forwarded invoice) We can measure and line Tuskes (NVYSL game field) just cannot put goals or kids on it yet (hopefully this week per township). Will set up signup genius for parents to signup to line fields weekly o Melissa to connect with Paul on who is taking lead Job box needs (George is managing this): o LNES (this one is shot) o Lower Essroc: need one/two extra or micro benches/pop ups o Butz: one to replace the box for the pugg goals o Lucas: one Moved the job box from holy cross to upper Essroc.

4 Should also consider a trash can at LNES. (Would need to secure it to backstop by storage box.) Request from George: 2 coaches who can be given Pugg goals (that pop-up) for practices Shed needs a good cleaning out. I did a straightening through last spring and fall and it's a total mess again. Lots of pieces to goals in the shed that if not needed could be taken to salvage yard o Rob to coordinate a date I'm working on getting all fields information together for anyone willing to start learning the process. The paperwork/ end isn't difficult, it's the weekly keep up of lining, spring setup/winter take down that is the most time consuming. o Damian Beaman is potentially interested will likely be assistant for the fall Will need to keep the lining up over the summer so nobody will need to re-measure for fall (except at rec). Will need to aerate and seed LNES when the spring season is done. Thanks for everyone's help in getting the spring season started. I really appreciate all the help, especially from John, Todd, Paul and Jason. Upper Essroc: put the goals in place and put the nets and sandbags on. I will put the corner flags in the job box tomorrow night after work. (Because I forgot them this time around). Code for that box is There is a liner in the box and some paint. I will reach out to see if anyone has a truck/trailer to move the goals from holy cross to the shed. George Kline, Team Equipment: Request to order more Pugg goals for micro What to do with current classic uniforms that are expiring after this season? o Youth Smalls and Mediums o Academy? o Older age group needing uniforms? George to connect with Todd Robinson about possibility of using current uniforms for upcoming season, because these players are not growing as fast as younger players Jason some issues with locks for the new Job Boxes; ordering new locks to fit the new boxes Current season uniforms are 95% distributed and expect to complete by week's end Inventory is almost out. We currently have Youth S, Adult L and Adult XL left in Jerseys. But by keeping them on a waitlist, Rob and Marcos can decide if they have space for those players or not. o How do we want to handle uniforms purchases on the registration flyer? George, Karen, Rob, Marcos to discuss offline o Are registration fees staying the same? ($80 for micro and $120 for classic classic still TBD) Picture Dates: o Per Jenn Brown: The dates for the Pictures are May 7th and 8th, 6-8pm at the Nazareth Intermediate School. Usually I'm glad to get info out early, but I think we jumped the gun and confused too many parents. Blue Sombrero Team Pages: o Does anyone know how many coaches are using other software such as First Touch or Team Snap to communicate with their teams? Because we're not creating our teams in Blue Sombrero, our coaches don't have the ability to use the Team Pages so if they want to use anything other than , they don't have a choice but to go with a separate piece of software. If the vast majority of coaches ok with , then its no big deal. But I hate to see the coaches having to reinvent the wheel just because we're not using all of the functionality of Blue Sombrero. I know its easier to create the teams in Excel but are we making life harder for the coaches but not giving them the option to use Team Pages? Rely on coaches to identify others Curriculum Refresh: Agility --> Ball Skills --> Games --> Scrimmages U4/5 Coaches Prep: Damian and I met with three coaches (Blake, Dorn, Golub) on Sunday Fields: Butz lined; Essroc lined but needs nets up, waiting on clip order LVYSL U8 Fiesta: All U8 Coaches invited, but no takers yet; Blockus interested in Essroc in the fall GearCycle: NHS Girls Booster Club has created a draft flyer to promote the program LTAA: After three weeks, LTAA's soccer rep reached out to say they would enter teams in the Micro league. It was too late, but we may try again in the Fall if we have odd numbers of teams (bye weeks). 6PM Pogba Potluck at the Municipal Bldg for all interested parties. 9 This is an initiative by the LVYSL and not a mandate, but an important step in keeping pace with policies issued by U.S. Soccer and Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer, our parent organizations, along with Pennsylvania s Youth Sports Safety Act. The partnership with St. Luke s was initiated because of the new mandate by U.S. Soccer that beginning this spring, any player who is removed from the field for a suspected head injury (i.e. concussion) by the referee may not return to play in that game unless cleared by a medical professional. As stated in a previous , this will be strictly enforced by LVYSL referees and all USSF referees beginning this spring. In an effort to aid our teams, coaches and most of all, for the safety of our players LVYSL and St. Luke s are providing a way to order a Certified Athletic Trainer for your games by providing a link at the bottom of our website. Simply click on the St. Luke s Sports Medicine Logo and you will be taken to a Survey Monkey form to fill out. Teams must order the Certified Athletic Trainer at least 72 hours in advance of games. Once you request service, Stephenie Stark, MS, LAT, ATC, ROT of St. Luke s will contact the person making the request to verify the process. Fee Schedule: Times Ages Athletic Training Fee 2 x 25 mins U9 / U10 $35 2 x 30 mins U11 / U12 $40 2 x 35 mins U13 / U14 $45 2 x 40 mins U15 / U16 $55 2 x 45 mins U17 / U19 $60 It is suggested coaches contact each other in advance of each week s game as per the LVYSL Rules of Play and confirm whether you wish to order a Certified Athletic Trainer for the game and if you wish to split the cost. St. Luke s will send a bill to the person or requesting making the request within 15 days of service.
