3 8 AGE ELIGIBILITY All participating players must be 15 years old and below throughout the calendar year of the tournament (born on or after 1 st January 2003). 9 ENTRIES Stage 1: National Level 1) Open to all Malaysians aged 15 years old and below (born on or after 1 st January 2003). 2) National Players, State Players, Badminton Club, Non-National Players, Non- State Players and Non-Badminton Club are allowed to participate. 3) A team must comprise: A minimum of six (6) players and maximum of ten (10) players. Not more than four (4) players who had won the champion title in any leg of BAM National Junior Circuit (U12, U14, U16). A minimum one (1) Team Manager aged 21 and above. 4) All teams must submit their entries online via starting Monday, 16 th July The online registration will be closed once the registration is full. 5) Maximum thirty-two (32) teams will be accepted based on first-come-firstserve basis. 6) The Event Management will send an notification to all successful teams confirming receipt of entries. A refundable commitment fee of RM per team is required to be made to the Event Management within 72 hours upon receiving the based on the details in the . Failure to do so, will result in deregistration of the team from the event. A confirmation will be sent to the teams once payment has been received. Receipt of this notification is the conclusive evidence of receipt of entries before the deadline. The Team Manager should contact the Event Management immediately if such notice is not received by Tuesday, 14 th August 2018 following close of entries. If no objection is received by the Event Management by Tuesday, 14 th August 2018 following the close of entries, the entries shall be deemed to be correct. No complaints/objections shall be entertained after the date. 7) The commitment fee of RM per team will be refund to the Team Manager during the Team Manager meeting on Thursday, 6 th September 2018 at 9am at Kompleks Sukan Negara Bukit Kiara (Stadium Juara), Kuala Lumpur. 1) Entries is based on invitation by YAK. 2) Participating team must be aged 15 years old and below (born on or after 1 st January 2003) 3) National Players, State Players, Badminton Club, Non-National Players, Non- State Players and Non-Badminton Club are allowed to participate. 4) A team must comprise: A minimum of six (6) players and maximum of ten (10) players A minimum of one (1) Team Manager aged 21 and above. 5) Twelve (12) teams will be invited by YAK. 4 10 FORMAT Stage 1: National Level 1) Group Stage All teams shall be placed in eight (8) groups to play on round robin basis with the best of 30-point system; one (1) game only for each match. All five (5) matches of each tie shall be played. No player shall play in more than two (2) matches in each Tie. 1 st place of the team from each group will qualify for the Quarter Final. 2) Knockout Stage The draw for the knock-out stage (quarter-final) shall be conducted after the conclusion of the group stage. The position of teams in the draw shall be determined by drawing lots. Knock-out stages shall play using the best of three (3) games of 21 points scoring system. No player shall play in more than two (2) matches in each Tie. The position of teams in the draw shall be determined by drawing lots. Teams playing in the same grouping in the group stage, will not be drawn to meet in the first round of the knockout stage. 5 Total USD12,000 Place Winning Team Award (Per Team) Champion 1 USD5, Runner-up 1 USD3, Semi-Finalists 2 USD2, per team Quarter 4 Medals Finalists Others 6 Souvenirs 12 RULES AND REGULATIONS 1) The tournament shall be played in accordance with the Laws of Badminton and shall comply with the BWF General Competition Regulations. 2) The Organiser reserves the right to decide on the numbers of entries admitted into the qualifying rounds. 3) The Organiser reserves the right to determine the number of group(s) and the size of each group for the tournament based on the number of participating teams. 4) The Organiser reserves the right to determine the size of the draw for the Knock-Out Stage accordingly based on the number of participating teams. 5) Draw will be conducted on Monday, 20 th August 2018 (National Level) and Tuesday, 30 th October 2018 by the qualified Referee who has been appointed by the Organiser from the list of Badminton Association of Malaysia s qualified list of technical officials. 6) Changes to the Tournament Schedule for any reason possible will be announced by the Referee. Order of Play may be changed at the discretion of the Referee. 7) All events will be on a strict time table system. Participating players who are not present to play at the time which their match is scheduled will be disqualified. 8) The Organiser reserves the right to at any time, change, amend, delete or add to the rules and regulations and the terms and conditions in this Prospectus including the Format of the Tournament at its absolute discretion. 13 WITHDRAWALS Withdrawals will be permitted in accordance with the BWF Regulations. 1) Withdrawals of team after Sunday, 19 th August 2018 (National Level) and Monday, 29 th October 2018 immediately preceding the draw for any reason whatsoever will result in a penalty of: National Level: RM per team Regional Level: USD1, per team (due to expenses incurred for accommodation). The Organiser will issue an official letter to the Team Manager of the withdraw team(s). 5 Page

6 2) Withdrawals before the draw must be informed to the Organiser via to by the Team Manager. 3) Withdrawals after the draw and before the tournament must be informed by the Team Manager to the Organiser via with appropriate certificate or medical certificate. 4) Withdrawals during the tournament must be informed by the Team Manager to the Referee with appropriate certificate or medical certificate. 5) The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify/remove team(s) should there be any team(s) that fail to obey the above. 14 TECHNICAL OFFICIALS Referee and umpire will be appointed by the Organiser from the list of Badminton Association Malaysia s qualified officials 15 CLOTHING AND ADVERTISING Clothing and advertising will be permitted in accordance with the BWF General Competition Regulation. Stage 1: National Level 1) All participating teams must wear team t-shirts with same colour throughout a tie from the first day. 2) Opposing team must wear different colour of t-shirts / uniform from Quarter Finals onwards. The team with a highest score from the Group Stage will have priority to choose the colour of the team t-shirts, should there is a clash between two opposing teams. 1) All participating teams must wear team t-shirts/ uniform with same colour or design throughout a tie from the first day. 2) Player s Name and Team Name at the back of the shirt is mandatory from the first day. 3) Opposing team must wear different colour of t-shirts/ uniform from Quarter Finals onwards. The team with a highest score from the Group Stage will have priority for the colour of the team t-shirts should there be a clash between two opposing teams. 16 EQUIPMENT/ SHUTTLECOCK Victor Gold 17 ON-COURT DOCTOR On-court doctors will be on duty throughout the tournament at the Tournament venue. 18 VISA APPLICATION Visa Application is only applicable to Astro Junior Championship. Should any teams require Letter of Invitation for Visa Application, please provide details via champioinships@astrokasih.org before Monday, 11 st October The Organizer does not guarantee entry into Malaysia and the final decision is made by the Malaysia Embassy in your country. It is the responsibility of the applicants to ensure that they apply the visa in sufficient time. Any issues with the Visa Application need to be dealt directly with the Embassy. The Organiser shall not be held responsible for any delay or withdrawals of a visa application. 6 Page

7 19 ACCOMMODATION Accommodation will be provided for the participating teams from Sunday, 11 st November 2018 (check-in after 3.00pm) to Friday, 16 November 2018 (check-out before 12.00pm). SOFITEL KUALA LUMPUR DAMANSARA No 6, Jalan Damanlela, Bukit Damansara, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Tel: ) Photocopy of all team members passport is required during check-in. 2) Please note that rooms provided are inclusive of breakfast only. 3) Any incidental charges at the hotel shall be borne by the team. 20 AIRPORT TRANSFER Airport Transfer will be provided for the participating teams (Maximum 10 Players and 2 Team Managers) of Astro Junior Championships : 1) From Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) / KLIA 2 to Sofitel Kuala Lumpur Damansara on Sunday, 11 st November ) From Sofitel Kuala Lumpur Damansara to KLIA / KLIA 2 on Thursday, 15 th November 2018 and Friday, 16 th November Each team is required to provide return flight details via to the Organiser via championships@astrokasih.org before Monday, 29 th October 2018 for ground transportation and accommodation check-in. Late submission (after the dateline) will not be entertained. 21 MEAL Meal allowance (RM50 per person per day) will be provided for the participating teams (Maximum 10 Players and 2 Team Managers) of Astro Junior Championships from Sunday, 11 st November 2018 to Friday, 16 th November PRACTICE SESSIONS Practice courts at the tournament hall will be available for all participating teams. Stage 1: National Level Wednesday, 5 th September 2018 (6:00pm to 8:00pm) and Thursday, 6 th September 2018 (8:00am to 10:00am). 1) The schedule will be determined during the draw of group stage on Monday, 20 th August ) No shuttlecocks will be provided for practice Sunday, 11 st November 2018 (6:00pm to 8:00pm) and Monday, 12 rd November 2018 (8:00am to 10:00am). 1) The Organizer will prepare an overall equitable practice schedule, taking into consideration the size of each team and priority on a first-come-first-served request basis. 2) Participating teams are advised to make their request via to championships@astrokasih.org before Monday, 29 th October ) No shuttlecocks will be provided for practice. 7 Page

8 23 MEDIA OBLIGATIONS The players will be required to fulfill the media obligations as per BWF norms. 24 INSURANCE 1) Any participating teams should agree to indemnity and not hold the organizing committee accountable for and against any claims for personal injury, financial loss, death or property damage, in any form, arising out of or in any way resulting from the participation in, postponement or cancellation of the said tournament. 2) The Organizer will NOT be responsible for any injury sustained, at any time, by any player or official/team managers arising from this participation in these tournaments. Any cost incurred for medical treatment and/or hospitalization shall be borne by the respective participating team concerned. 3) Please ensure that your players & team officials possess the requisite insurance coverage to meet current requirements. 25 FORCE MAJEURE If at any time the Tournament is cancelled or the Organiser is unable to organise the Tournament due to an occurrence of an event of force majeure (being any cause beyond the control of the Organiser) including without limitation an act of God, act of government, fire, war, strike, riot, failure of facilities and equipment and/or any other cause or event not reasonably within the control of the Organiser which may affect in whole or in part of the Tournament, and notwithstanding anything to the contrary therein, the Organiser shall then be excused from the performance of its obligations and shall not be held liable for any losses whether directly or indirectly suffered by the Participants due to the reasons thereof. -END- 8 Page
