He said that, under the auspices of K.R.Medical Educational and Charitable Trust, K.R. Educational Institutions and K.R. Medical Educational and Charitable Trust. The Lakshmi Ammal Memorial All India Hockey Tournament has been conducted for the past nine years. This year 10 th All India Hockey Tournament will be conducted from May 17 27, All India Hockey tournaments is to be held for 11 days, 16 different states best teams are heading to play. The teams are LASA - Kovilpatti, Canara Bank - Bangalore, Army XI - Bangalore, Indian Navy - Mumbai, ONGC - New Delhi, Central Secretariat - New Delhi, South Central Railway - Secunderabad, Tamilnadu Police, Chennai, Indian Postal - New Delhi, Union Bank - Mumbai, Ghaziabad Sports Academy - UP, R.C.F. - Kapurthala, Indian Bank - Chennai, I.C.F. - Chennai, IOB - Chennai and Southern Railway - Chennai Matches will be held by league system up to quarter final and knockout system to be followed for quarter finals, semi finals and final under flood lights. The Winners will get Rs.1,00,000/- along with rolling trophy and the second, third and fourth places will get Rs.75,000/- Rs.50,000/- and Rs.30,000/- respectively along with rolling trophy. In addition to that four consolation prizes of Rs.20,000/- each will be awarded. The Players who excel in the tournament will be honoured with the Best Forward Player, Best Upcoming Player, Best Defender Player, Best Mid-Field Player, Best Goal Keeper and Best Player of the Tournament. Boarding, Lodging and TA will be provided for the players and officials which are sponsored by K.R.Medical Educational and Charitable Trust. Transportation facilities to venue have been arranged for the local people (in and around Kovilpatti) at free of cost. No entry fee for the tournament. Everyday four matches will be held during 6.30 am, 5.00 pm, 6.30 pm and 8.00 pm. The inaugural function of the tournament will be held on May 17, 2018 at 7.00 pm. This function will be presided by Thiru.P.Balakrishna Reddy, Hon'ble Minister for Youth Welfare and Sports Development, Tamilnadu, will be inaugurated by Thiru.Kadambur C.Raju, Hon'ble Minister for Information and Publicity, Tamilnadu and Thiru.K.R.Arunachalam, Managing Director, K.R. Educational Institutions.
