18 Awards Golden Boot Award The Golden Boot Award goes to the top goalscorer of the FIFA World Cup. Assists serve as a tie-breaker with the FIFA Technical Study Group (TSG) deciding whether an assist is to be counted as such. The assists will only be counted if two or more players are equal on goals scored. A Silver Boot and a Bronze Boot for the second and third highest goalscorers is also be awarded. 20 FIFA Fair Play Award The FIFA Fair Play Award is awarded to the team with the best fair play record according to a points system and criteria established by the FIFA Committee for Fair Play and Social Responsibility.
