5 STADION KÖLN ADDRESS CAPACITY Aachener Straße 999 Domestic: 50, Köln International: 45,373 The Cologne Stadium is the home of all 1. FC Köln home fixtures. The current stadium was renovated in 2004 and hosted several matches of the 2005 FIFA Confederations Cup as well as the 2006 FIFA World Cup. It has a capacity of 50,000 during domestic league matches and 45,373 for international competition. It is a football specific stadium, meaning there is no running track around the playing pitch. 1. FC Köln home matches are consistently some of the loudest matches in Germany, thanks primarily to a passionate and dedicated fan base. The stadium averaged over 99% of its capacity in the 2016/2017 season. In fact, season ticketholders have been capped at 25,500, with a long list of names waiting for openings for season ticket availability. 5

6 HOW TO GET TO THE STADIUM BY CAR/BUS Take the Highway A1 and exit at either Köln-Bocklemünd, Köln-Lövenich, or Köln Weiden/Frechen. From there just follow the signs indicating Stadion. There are about 7,500 parking spaces in and around the stadium. BY PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION Take the KVB Line 1 train from Heumarkt in the direction of Weiden and get off at the stop: RheinEnergieStadion. you can also get on the Line 1 train in Weiden West, which can be reached by the S-Bahn 12 or 13 by way of Cologne Central Station or the Cologne/Bonn Airport. NOTE: Visiting Supporters need to use parking area P4. On matchday P4 opens on 8.00 am. 6

9 AWAY SECTION IN STADION KÖLN VISITING FANS will find their seats in the N6, N16 and N15 sections of the North stand. These three blocks will be designated as the away section. 11 FANS VISITING FANS 1. FC Köln is a club that encompasses a welcoming culture. We welcome fans of all types and encourage fans of your club to vist Cologne and experience the atmosphere at the Stadion Köln. We reccomend Arsenal FC-Fans to enjoy the restaurants and live sport bars in the old town. To Stadion Köln please take line 1 from Heumarkt towards Weiden West. Note: The stadium will open its doors 2 hours prior to kick-off. Supporters without a valid ticket will have no access to the areal of Stadion Köln. 1. FC KÖLN FANS All clubs should be aware that 1. FC Köln has a strong and passionate support base. We have 100,000 club members that add a valuable voice to the club. SMOKING Visiting fans should be reminded that there is absolutely no smoking allowed inside the viewing areas of the stadium. The Stadium security personnel reserver the right to remove all visitors that fail to comply with the regulations of the stadium. BAGS It is prohibited to bring bags into Stadion Köln. There is no possibility of storage for bags. GROUND RULES For a complete list of prohibited items and actions, please refer to the Ground Rules for the Stadion Köln. 11
