2 Welcome to the 2015 New Berlin Fall Classic Tournament as sponsored by the New Berlin Soccer Club (NBSC)! On behalf of all the New Berlin players, parents, coaches, and volunteers, we warmly welcome you, our guests, to our tournament. This is our 25 th Annual Tournament Games will be played at Valley View with a concession stand for your convenience. Welcome to New Berlin, WI REGISTRATION: VV = Valley View Park 5051 S. 5 NEW BERLIN TOURNAMENT RULES LAWS OF THE GAME 1. USYSA/FIFA rules apply to all games with exceptions as noted below. DURATION FO THE GAME 1. Games will start on time and consist of two 30 minute halves for U13/14, 25 minute halves for U9-U12. U-7 through U-8 will have four 12 minute quarters. U6 will play Four 8 minute quarters. Five minute half time. There will be no injury time. 2. Games can beended bythe referee, five minutes beforethescheduled start of the next game, even if they are running late. The TournamentCommittee shall have the authority, in the event of inclement weather or other circumstances, to relocate Or reschedule any game, continue or end a stopped game, reduce the duration of any game WEATHER 1. Games will continue until lightning is sighted or other conditions make the field unplayable. After an appropriate wait, the Tournament Directors will attempt to resume play. If it is not possible to resume, the score at the end of play will become final. 2. In the event of rain, we will play the tournament as long as possible. If we must cancel Saturday games, one representative from the team should contact the Tournament Director for possible rescheduling on Sunday. Checkthecontacts pageo ourwebsite : 3. The Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association does not allow the tournament to be rescheduled beyond the assigned weekend. If the tournament cannot be played on the stated weekend, it is canceled. 4. In the event all days of the tournament are canceled completely, there will be no refund of your team s entry fee. We are not able to give refunds because of advance expenditures for awards, supplies, and non-returnable food

6 PLAYERS 1. Players are allowed to register with one team only and must be on that team s official roster. 2. Maximum roster size is: 10 for U-7 and U-8 11 for U-9 and U10 14 for U-11 and U for U-13 and U Teams may field the following number of players: U-6 3 / No Goalkeeper U-7/U8 5 (4 v 4 plus Goalkeeper) U9 /U10 6 (5 v 5 plus Goalkeeper) U11/U12 8 (7 v 7 plus Goalkeeper) U13/u14 11 (10 v 10 plus Goalkeeper) 4. Up to three guest or non-roster players will be allowed. 5. Each player must wear shin guards and a unique number on their jersey. 6. Player equipment must be approved by a referee or field marshal before the player is allowed to compete. 7. Players wearing a cast of any type will not be allowed to play. START OF PLAY 1. Home Team is designated 2. In the event of a uniform color conflict, Home Team must switch to alternate uniform. 3. The visiting team will kick off in the first half and the home team will kick off in the second half. There will not be a coin flip GAMES TIMES 1. Each team must report to the registration tent at least 30 minutes prior to the start of their first game. You are welcometo check in earlier if your team is able to check in all together. To save on time and walking around, we suggest the coach meet his team at the registration tent prior to the first game to check in - then walk to your designated field. 2. Please be there at least 30 min prior to subsequentgames and check in with the designated Field Marshall

7 FORFEITS 1. A team WITH NOT ENOUGH PLAYERS WILL FORFEIT THEIR GAME Such a team will be granted a five minute grace period, at the start of the game only, before forfeiting. 2. The Tournament Director may declare a game forfeited if a team or player fails to abide by the tournament rules. 3. A forfeit will be scored 1-0 and awarded 3 points. POINT SYSTEM/TIE BREAKERS (U11 AND ABOVE ONLY) 1. The point system for the games: 3 points for a win 1 points for a tie (a 0-0 tie will score 1 point each) 0 points for a loss 2. When a there is a tie between teams to determine which team advances to the play- offs, the following criteria will be used, in order, to break ties: The team winning the head to head competition Goal differential Goals against Goals for 3. Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association Rules prohibit competitive play below the U-11 age level. Games are to be held as friendlies with no standings or playoffs allowed. SUBSTITUTIONS 1. There is no limit to the number of substitutions per game. Substitutions are permitted with consent of the referee, at the following times: Prior to a throw-in, in your favor Prior to a goal kick, by either team Kick offs At half time After an injury, by either team, when the referee stops play

8 PROTESTS 1. No protests are allowed, considered, wanted, encouraged or recognized. The referee s judgment and decision are final. 2. Coaches must sign game cards after each game. AWARDS 1. Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association Rules prohibitcompetitiveplay below the U-11 age level. Games are to be held as friendlies with no standings or playoffs allowed. 2. Participation awards will be given to all players U-10 and younger 3. First place trophies will be given to Division winners U11 and Above only REDCARDS Any player receiving a red card will be removed from that game and at least the team s next game. A severe foul where a player attempts to injure another player will result in suspension from the tournament. Red Card Violations will be reported to the WYSA office for review. PLAYER CONDUCT 1. It is the policy of this tournament that team coaches be responsible for the conduct of their players and fans. If a referee is subjected to harassment or excessive criticism, he may stop the game and give a warning to the coach of the offending side. If the situation persists, he may stop the game and ask the coach to remove the offending people (players or fans) from the field or forfeit the game. 2. The Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association requires us to reportall yellow cards, red cards, and fan disturbances to the team s or player s home National State Association for possible further disciplinary action. PARENT CONDUCT Should remember that: Children have more need of example than criticism Attempt to relieve the pressure of competition, not increase it. A child is

9 easily affected by outside influences. Be supportive of the coach. The coach is a volunteer giving of personal time and money to provide a recreational activity for your child. The opponents are necessary friends. Without them your child could not participate. Referees are vital to the tournament, some of there are children not much older than the games they are overseeing. Please be respectful PARK RULES No alcoholic beverages or glass bottles are allowed on the grounds. No dogs allowed.
