4 President Proper Employee Documentation - I9 Form I-9 is used for verifying the identity and employment authorization of individuals hired for employment in the United States. All U.S. employers must ensure proper completion of Form I-9 for each individual they hire for employment in the United States. This includes citizens and noncitizens. Both employees and employers (or authorized representatives of the employer) must complete the form....
5 President Employee or SubContractor - The CT DOL A,B,C Test - Club should be diligent regarding status A. The worker must be free from direction and control in the performance of the service, both under the contract of hire and in fact. (Essentially, this is the common law definition.) AND B. The worker s services must be performed: EITHER (1) Outside the usual course of the employer s business OR (2) Outside all of the employer s places of business. AND C. The worker must be customarily engaged in an independently established trade, occupation, profession or business of the same nature as the service being provided. Vendors???
6 President Directors & Officers Insurance Coverage Currently CJSA has D&O and includes CJSA clubs to a combined liability limit of $2M There are very few D&O underwriters that currently are willing to provide a master policy covering all clubs due to a historically poor loss history for this class of business....a number of state associations no longer provide coverage for the member clubs due to claims activity. At some point it may be necessary to advise your member organizations that they may need to plan on purchasing their own individual D&O Policy. (Range $650-$1,000)
7 President Insurance - Registering all Players Statement from Pullen Insurance: Connecticut Junior Soccer Association, Inc. excess accident medical insurance policy is secondary insurance. Failure to follow the rules of your primary health care coverage will result in a benefit reduction of eligible expenses to 50% of the amount otherwise payable. Are You Registering ALL Your Players? Are Your Players Covered?
