We have had some great competitions throughout the season & again thanks to Martin s work re helping organising etc & the players that have participated. The Championships was again a great success & helped by the use of the Mutford venue again. Coaching continues to be a success with more players coming through the coaching program. Well done to Paul, David and Martin for organising and coaching week in and week out. Also big thank you to Drew re his work with the Website etc & all things IT related. Finally my thanks to all the committee, team secretaries, venue organisers, players. 2. Apologies for absence Paul Wilkinson (Treasurer)

General Secretary s Report Thanked everyone for support in his post. Although this is the secretary s report it may touch on some things covered by others later in the AGM, as the committee have all worked across a number of the roles. Also going to stick to the main highlights. Table Tennis England Fees & Suffolk Fees All Fees were received by Teams but a very long winded process. Especially when new players signed etc. We registered all players with Table Tennis England immediately. But delayed payment to Table Tennis England & also to Suffolk to prevent multiple payments if new players signing & also to cover coaching & also the 2 juniors team where subs were collected on a pay per play basis. Sponsorship As mentioned by Alan- Superb work by Kevin Jones.
3 Suffolk Teams The County again entered 1 Vets team in the County Championships 7 th of 8 in Division 2A following promotion previous year 2 Junior Teams 3 rd of 7 & 5 th of 7 in Division 2C 1 Cadet Team 6 th of 8 in Division 1B following promotion from previous year. All performed very well & representation from Lowestoft League players plus this likely to increase due to players from Lowestoft League rising in the Suffolk Rankings etc. Suffolk Schools Helped the Suffolk Schools hold both Team & Individual Suffolk Regional Championships & the overall Suffolk Schools Championships. Players from the Lowestoft League entering & representing Suffolk at the Schools National Championships. County Champs Also good to see Suffolk for the 1 st time for a number of years hold both Vets, Senior & Junior/Cadet Championships. Great to see a number of players from the Lowestoft League enter championships & Lowestoft performed very very well. Some highlights & apologies if I miss anything. Vets Martin Peek Suffolk Vets Handicap winner Martin Peek Suffolk Restricted Winner, Paul Wright Junior = Runner Up Suffolk Restricted Singles Paul Wright Runner Up in County Vets over 50 s Ian Brown Runner Up with Rex Manning in Vets Doubles Ian Brown Over 60 s Champion Seniors Kian Burgess Senior Runner Up Juniors Kian Burgess Junior Champion. Suffolk Table Tennis AGM Tuesday 20 th June Match Secretary & Press Officers Report Martin spoke about the problems Dominators had caused during the season etc which was not acceptable. Fixture congestion again avoided by pre planning all cup matches. Agreed to continue to liaise with Yarmouth league to avoid any fixture clashes. Number of teams turning up with only two players again down on last year with coaching school used in Division 2. Match cards continue being submitted by , text and what's app very successful and help much appreciated.
4 All Secretaries asked to inform the committee if a team was at risk and help promote the league. Martin reminded Team secretaries to check cards before submitting to ensure fully accurate re results & match score etc. Agreed by members to continue off season coaching & events on a Thursday to try and attract new members Clapham & Waveney Martial Arts Room secured for the new season. Please continue to recycle old bats & rubbers to the coaching school to Martin so the young players at the coaching school can develop quicker using decent tools. Thank you to everyone who had helped. 8. Treasurers Report & Financial Statement year ending 30 th April 2016 Thanks to Paul putting up with my regular visits with Bags of changes from coaching. End of , , Still cheque to Bank re the junior team who collect on a weekly basis & almost 200 coaching money to bank. Plus iro James Skilliter, Jack Leather & Lewis Taylor. Copies of the accounts handed out. Checked by Cunninghams. 9. Coaching Officers Report Moved from Benjamin Britten High school coaching to Clapham half way through the season. School wanted to almost treble the costs of hire. Only 4 table but better facilities. Bought a 2 nd hand table so now 4 tables down Clapham compared to 5 up Benjamin Britten. No coaches paid, have bought the kids Xmas Selection boxes, coaching balls. Very small profit compared to previous year due to costs of hire & numbers etc. Sessions start later with 1 st for U15 7 til 8 Over 15 & Seniors from 8 til 9.30 By using Clapham can help with re-organising cancelled matches etc etc. A number of players both juniors & seniors will be ready to play in the league for the 1 st time next season. 10. Membership fees for next season All league fees to remain the same as last year. 1 st & 2 nd Floor
5 11. Proposed Rule Changes Not a rule change but it was carried by Wally/Darren & Bob that should a completely new team enter the league that the fees are waived. Plus rule changes below; 9.2 No team shall be allowed to play a match until all fees have been paid. All payments to the League shall be made through the Team Secretary and not from individual players If a postponement is agreed the requesting team will be automatically penalised 5 league points in accordance with rule unless the postponed match is played within 14 days of the original scheduled date. The team agreeing to a requested postponement will not be penalised. In extreme weather conditions this rule may be waived following a request made in advance to the General or Match Records Secretary who will continue to review the situation on a day-to-day basis. In such circumstances, in order to avoid the normal two-point penalty, the match must be rearranged and played by the end of the following calendar month. The provisions of rule must by adhered to in rearranging the fixture. After long discussions, it was agree that a small bit of tinkering may be required to get the exact wording but the above rule changes were carried by the floor. 12.
