2 7 A-Side Soccer Tournament Information & Rules Tournament Director Jim Thomas GENERAL INFORMATION: 1. Cost: U6-U9 $230 per team $200 per team before January 1 st at midnight U10-14 $290 per team $230 per team before January 1st at midnight 2. Tournament Dates: U6-U9, U-10 & U-11 Boys and Girls will play on Saturday, February 7th U6-U9, U-12, U-13, U-14 Boys and Girls will play on Sunday, February 8th 3. Registration online at Broncosports.com, Click on Women s Soccer, Hit Camp/7 A- Side Icon Can pay online with Credit Card or ACH Check. 4. Team manager/coach will need to register team online. (First step) Remember Team Code. After team has registered, individual registration will be open. Each individual participating will need to complete consent form and medical form. This can be done at team check in or online prior to the event. Individuals will go to Broncosports.com, Click on Women s Soccer, Hit Camp/7 A-Side Icon, go to Individual registration. o Type in team code, which will be given to team manager after they have registered team. Fill out all necessary information and you are done! Team managers can also fill out individual s information if they have the consent of the individual. 5. Deadlines Final Registration and Payment Deadline- February 1 st Early Bird Registration Deadline- January 1st at midnight No refunds will be given after February 1 st 6. Schedules: Schedules Posted online and ed out on February 4th Teams listed first on the schedule will be the HOME (light jersey) team. Please be sure to bring both light and dark jerseys. 7. Location: Boise State Campus: 1910 University Drive. Caven-Williams Sports Complex (Indoor Facility) Albertsons Stadium 1

Each Team will get a minimum of three (3) games and will have at least one (1) game in Albertsons Stadium and at least one (1) in Caven-Williams. However, at the Tournament Director s discretion, the number of games may be increased, and the tournament is not liable for any expenses and no refunds for the tournament application fees will be given. 10. No items, including raffle tickets, flyers, posting, and advertising may be sold or distributed at tournament location. 11. There are no pets allowed in Albertsons Stadium or in Caven Williams. No team benches, chairs, or food will be allowed on any turfed surface (Albertsons Stadium or Caven-Williams). In Caven-Willams, all spectators with chairs, food or drink must remain on the floor board along the East side. In Albertsons Stadium, all spectators with chairs, food or drink must remain off the turf. TEAM CHECK-IN: 1. Local teams will be able to check-in Friday February 6th, 2015 from 12:00pm-6:00pm at the Boas Soccer & Tennis Complex; located at 1507 S. Oakland Ave. 2. Teams need to submit all Consent Forms and Proof of Insurance for each player. Individuals can register themselves online, type in Team Code (which will be given to each manager after team has been registered). Individuals can fill out consent and medical forms online (broncosports.com), or manager can fill out each team player. Forms can also be faxed or ed. Fax # or ed to jimthomas@boisestate.edu We will accept copies of medical cards or you can show actual medical card at check-in. If all materials have been turned in prior to the check-in date, there is no need to come to check-in on Friday, February 6th. WE WILL NEED COPIES OF ALL INSURANCE CARDS 3. Full payment & Informed Consent Agreements MANDATORY for participation. 4. Team traveling from out of town will be able to check in the day of their games, however, it must be at least 30 minutes prior to teams first game time. Check in will take place in the front lobby of Caven-Williams Sports Complex. If alternate arrangements need to be made please contact jimthomas@boisestate.edu for questions. Each player must have health insurance. There are many companies who sell short term policies at a very low cost. I was told Ehealthinsurance.com was a great option to use. 2

5 TOURNAMENT RULES: U6-U9 1. Field size approximately 50x30 2. Duration of games: two minute halves, 5 minute half time, no overtime period Teams will switch ends at half Running clock 3. Goalkeeper arch is 10 yards radius from the center of the goal 4. Five (5) field players and one (1) goalkeeper 5. Ten (10) player maximum for each game (split teams can decide which 12 they want for each. 6. Any one (1) player may compete on a maximum of 2 rosters. 7. Each team will be on the honor system regarding player maximum. 8. Shin guards, soccer cleats (indoor or outdoor), and proper attire required 9. Ball over sidelines will result in kick-in Will be treated as an indirect kick (cannot score directly off kick-in) 10. Corner kicks, as usual (can score on corners) 11. Goalkeeper punting/drop kick ARE permitted, unlimited steps, 5 seconds to distribute, FIFA handling rules apply 12. Goal kicks to start from keeper s hands with a throw, roll or play with feet 13. Time begins, whether the teams are ready or not, at the indicated start time FIELD AND GAME MANAGEMENT: Each field will have an official score keeper and one (1) referee. Immediately preceding each match, coaches will need to sign official score card with final match score It is the responsibility of the Score keeper to deliver the completed and signed score card to the appropriate tournament official promptly at the conclusion of each game. In case of a discrepancy, the game report will be decided by the referee. They have the final say. CONDUCT: Players, coaches, and spectators are expected to conduct themselves within the spirit of the Laws of The Game as well as the letter of the Laws of The Game. Displays of temper or dissent are cause for removal from the game and the surrounding field area. Repeated violations may result in the dismissal of the team from the tournament as decided by the Tournament Director. SCORING: Each winning team of each age group will be awarded a prize. The winner of each group will be based on the highest average amount of goals scored per team. In the event of a tie, the tie breaking criteria A through D below will be applied sequentially to determine the winner. A. Head to Head competition. This will only apply when all teams that are tied have played one another. B. Fewest Goals allowed C. Highest amount of goals scored in one game. D. FIFA penalty kick FAILURE TO SHOW AND FORFEITS: Games will start at the schedules times. If teams arrive 10+ minutes late, the result will end in a forfeit. The team that is the cause for termination of a game, that team will be considered to have forfeited that game. The determination as to which team is the cause for termination shall be at the sole discretion of the referee on the field 5

7 and the decision may not be protested. Winning team will be awarded a maximum number of goals. INCLEMENT WEATHER : In the event of inclement weather or field conditions, the Tournament Director will have the authority to: A. Change the start time of any game (s). B. Change the duration of any game(s). C. Relocate or reschedule any game (s) ADDITIONAL SERVICES: Boise State Concessions will be open and available during the event. PARKING: Participants and spectators will park on the East Side of Albertsons Stadium, both Saturday and Sunday. Parking Permits will be distributed to Managers upon check-in for distribution. ALL CARS must display permit in the dash of your car to avoid ticketing. Citations will be given if found parked at another location or without permit. Speed limit in the parking lots is 5mph. Please watch out for children and others when driving through the parking lots. No overnight parking will be permitted. 6
