The law is a ball that is deliberately kicked by a teammate to the goal keeper cannot be handled by the goalkeeper. Deliberately kicked means played with the foot. Kicked to the goalkeeper means only that the play is to or toward a place where the keeper can legally handle the ball. (Advice to Referees on the Laws of the Game). In summary, a ball played with the foot and is deliberately played to or toward a place where the goalkeeper can handle the ball cannot be handled by the goalkeeper. 3. a.
