3 The Core Values of Tameside United Girls FC Dedication The club will support players and create an attitude through training and games which will support hard work and dedication. This will support the players and members who put in the necessary effort in order to provide the club and individuals with success. Teamwork The club will foster an attitude which puts the needs of the club and the team first. It is however also the responsibility of all players, coaches and parents to support each other at the club in all matters to ensure that there is a true club attitude at Tameside United Girls FC. The players fun and enjoyment is to remain central at all levels of the club. Development The club aims to inspire all players, coaches and committee members to develop their skills and talents to their best levels. It is still the responsibility of the individual to put themselves in the position to develop their own talents and skills to the top of their levels.

4 What do the Core Values mean to Players? Arriving on Time, Correct Attitude, Listening when instruction is given, Putting best effort into each session. Play to the best of their ability, Following team tactics, playing in position, putting in 100% effort throughout the game Ensuring eating correctly, rest before games, training outside of practice sessions, healthy lifestyle Supporting each other in practice, praising team mates effort, never criticising team mates, supporting other age groups/ teams development Playing in positions to support the team, playing to best ability regardless of result, praising/ consoling team mates during matches Supporting efforts of team mates, attending club events Accepting advice from coaches, challenging your own talents, there is no can t, taking responsibility for players own training levels, bringing best version of themselves to training Playing in new positions, playing in different age groups/ training groups, trying new skills and ability during games, keep trying Accepting responsibility to improve skills and ability outside of training

5 How will the Club Support Players? Club will hand out awards each week to Player of the Week to those who train and play to those core values Each month the club will award one player a Player of the Month award with a prize, across all age groups one player will be recognised for their efforts Players who train and play to these core values will find their game time increased and responsibility during games increased as they set good role models for the team Captains will be selected based on the Core Values Additional opportunities will be put forward to players who work to these core values: Opportunities to complete Coaching/ Refereeing Qualifications Opportunities to attend Football Games where the club ins invited by The FA, MCFC, MUFC and Hyde United Tours and Trips will be offered to players who work to these values first Players who develop will be offered opportunities to play at higher levels, either within the Club Structure (higher age groups/ Open Age etc) or supported with trials to Academies across the North West

Arriving early for sessions, session plans arranged in advance, Praising Players who put best effort into sessions, focussing on effort not ability Picking teams based on effort not ability, ensuring all players get game time, ensuring in good condition to coach, praising effort in games and not criticising poor decision making mistakes Creating Session Plans, meeting monthly with coaches to review Fostering team attitude, ensuring sessions are fun, supporting developing players, praising team mates effort, positive communication with team, dealing with bullying early Putting the team first, playing all players regardless of ability to support team development and inclusion, praising effort, ensuring the sport is enjoyable Arranging club events, Attending Social Events with club members Challenging players to become best version of themselves, focussing on what they will be not what they are now, encouraging creativity Playing players in new positions, praising attempts at skills/ techniques, encouraging risks and creativity Challenging players to develop their skills outside of training, improving coaching techniques outside of sessions

7 How will the Club Support Coaches? Placing coaches on Level 1 and Level 2 Coaching Courses Supporting Coaches with Continual Professional Development ADHOC Courses that focus on individual skills and abilities Providing opportunities for Online Courses Monthly Coaches meetings to discuss player development and session planning All Coaches will work to the Football Development Officer who will support the coaches with their teams If a Coach/ Manager is unavailable on matchday they inform the Head Coach who will ensure: That there are always two coaches supporting a team Support themselves the team on match days Provide other coaches from other teams

Supporting Players attending training on time, advising coaches when not available for training, supporting coaches with players development Praising during games, not confusing players by giving instructions or tactics, supporting players and coaches even when they make mistakes Supporting players healthy lifestyles, challenging players to improve outside of training Supporting/ watching sessions (players enjoy discussing this with parents after), supporting parents, getting to know other parents and training groups Supporting players and coaches on sidelines, supporting players to play to best of their ability regardless of results, supporting other teams/ players Supporting other teams, offering help, attending club events Challenge Players to take responsibility for their training levels, ensuring players discipline levels at training is high, Encouraging players to be creative, Learning skills that can help support the club

9 How will the Club Support Parents? Providing Opportunities to become Club Members Provide Opportunities to take a role on the club committee Provide Social Events such as Presentation Evenings and Christmas Ensure that the club supports the Parents in areas outside of Football Create a community which also welcomes Siblings Family Members Friends The club will ensure that parents feel supported in both academic and social aspects by ensuring that their childs welfare is put first ahead of games/ results.

10 What is the Core Messages of the club? Tameside United Girls FC is at its heart, a community club, our club constitution commits an philosophy of Football for All that ensures that no child is denied the opportunity to play the sport. Our commitment means that we will ensure that all Girls and Ladies have the opportunity to play the sport and develop to their highest potential. The recent partnership with the RSC Academy and Hyde United has presented a new Pathway for our players through their system. The RSC Academy operates a BTEC Football Qualification out of the Hyde United Football Ground allowing for female players to complete a full college qualification alongside coaching 5 days a week with Pro and A Level coaches. Hyde United also manage and operate the Tameside United Ladies Football Team, presenting a new pathway with the aim of over the coming years promoting the womens team to the highest levels of the Football pyramid. The clubs coaches commit to helping players become the best players they can become, this however will be in a safe and respectful environment for all players and parents. The club asks that each player simply brings the best version of themselves to training and match days so we can help continue to develop their talents. TUGFC has never been, nor will it ever be fixated on winning cups and competitions at the expense of the development of the individual. At all times we will maintain a competitive environment whilst remembering that children come to the club to have fun!

11 The Footballing Philosophy Tameside United Girls FC are a team that are focussed on producing creative and rounded footballers. In player formative years we will often rotate players around different positions in order to allow them to develop their skills and talents. Defenders will tackle more, midfielders pass more, strikers shoot more. Its important that we nurture all players to develop all their skills and talents to ensure that they become rounded Footballers. Coaches will often challenge players to try and adapt to new positions and formations in order to ensure that we are constantly challenging their players. Tameside United will also focus on development of the players ahead of the results in the game and competition. We will however look to ensure that we remain competitive in games and competitions but this should not involve beating teams by silly scores such as 10-0 etc. Coaches will focus training sessions on developing players technical skills and abilities during each session, this will involve the entire team all supporting each other developing their particular technique (Passing/ Defending when organised etc). Where players show good development in their age groups, coaches will provide the opportunity to play up a year in order to further develop their talents and also present new challenges to the player. This will always be at the discretion of the coach in conjunction with the parent. We are looking at creating smarter footballers, this involves them making decisions themselves on the pitch. The coaches will often try and provide little instructions onto the pitch to try and enhance the players on decision making. We ask players and parents support this development by not shouting on instructions or tactics onto. the pitch as we look to develop players decision making skills
