The Truck Commenced awkwardly. Over-raced in the early and middle stages. Grand Master Flash Exiting the straight on the first occasion had to be eased when tightened for room by Costano Mille (apprentice C. Caserta) which shifted in. Apprentice Caserta was advised to exercise far greater care when shifting ground in similar circumstances. Hung in under pressure when giving ground in the straight. Haunted Stream > Race wide without cover in the early stages before being permitted to stride forward to settle outside the leader passing the 1500m. Rider R. Beattie reported that in his opinion the mare would be better suited ridden with cover in the future. St Carlisle Over-raced in the early and middle stages. Race 2 NAUBRO 3YO MAIDEN PLATE metres:> As Is > Commenced awkwardly shifting out and bumping The Gatting Ball. Approaching the 1000m had to be steadied and shift out across the heels of Living Doll (K. Mallyon) which shifted in. K. Mallyon was advised to exercise far greater care when shifting ground in similar circumstances. Raced wide without cover throughout. The Gatting Ball Bumped on jumping. Passing the 200m when hanging in shifted in abruptly then continued to hang in for the remainder of the race. IIve Goy Chills Slow to begin. Passing the 300m when laying out had to be steadied off the heels of Shelley Beach. Captain Harry Slow to begin. Hung in under pressure in the straight. Stylish Missile Passing the 1000m raced tightly between Miss Honeypot and Living Doll which shifted in when racing greenly. Miss Honeypot Dipped passing the 500m. Shelley Beach Near the 100m became awkward when brushed by Ruby Red Socks which shifted in and away from The Gatting Ball. Race 3 BILL MCGRATH ENGINEERING MAIDEN PLATE metres:> Lord Wentworth Change of tactics: Attempt to be ridden further forward from wide gate slow to muster early speed before settling in a position worse than midfield. Raced wide without cover throughout. Performed below market expectations. Rider Z. Spain could offer

3 no explanation for the geldinggs performance. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the near foreleg. Trainer W. Hunter was notified that he will be required to provide a Veterinary Clearance before the horse is accepted to race again. Oklahoma Days Change of tactics: To be ridden more positive from the wide gate Began well and settled in the lead. Nicky Bleu Shifted out on jumping bumping with Prince Of Prussia. Prince Of Prussia Jumped on jumping away. Fying Frenchy Slow to begin. Payday Princess Slow to begin. Shortly after the start bumped on the hind quarters by Salina Bay. Over-raced in the early and middle stages. Approaching the 800m when over-racing had to be steadied and shift out off the heels of Nicky Bleu, in doing so carried Noneofus out wider on the track. Bolossomo Shortly after the start had to be checked when tightened for room by Salina Bay and Noneofus which shifted in abruptly despite the efforts of its rider. Salina Bay > Shortly after the start bumped by Bolossomo which was carried in by Noneofus. Noneofus Over-raced in the middle stages. Carried wider on the track passing the 800m. Race 4 ESKIMO JOE AT TELSTRA WODONGA GOLD CUP MAIDEN PLATE metres:> Prior to the declaration of correct weight rider J. Mott rider of Best Man lodged an objection against Mission Vision being declared the winner alleging interference shortly after straightening near the 300m. After taking evidence from all parties involved it was established that near the 300m Best Man was hampered and taken in off it course by Mission Vision, which when laying in shifted in. As stewards were of the opinion that this incident did not warrant the placinggs being amended and correct weight was declared. Best Man > Passing the 300m was hampered by Mission Vision which shifted in when laying in. Eye Was Slow to begin. Bondi Special Dipped on jumping. Shadow Omen Commenced awkwardly. Over-raced in the early stages. Shinia Miss Raced wide without cover until striding forward to obtain the lead passing the 800m.

4 Marikoriko Raced keenly in the early stages. Approaching the 200m was taken in off its course by Best Man which in turn had been taken in by Mission Vision (M. Walker). Whilst accepting that Mission Vision was laying in Stewards did notify M. Walker he would be expected to stop riding his mounts and straighten sooner than he did on this occasion. Carlistos Raced wide without cover from the 800m. Hypermarionation Passing the 600m had to be steadied when tightened for room by Eye Was and Lucky Ladybird which shifted in marginally. Approaching the 100m was checked when bumped by Lucky Ladybird which shifted out after being carried out. Mission Vision From the entrance to the straight (300m) until the end of the race hung in under pressure and proved difficult for its rider M. Walker to ride out in his normal manner. Lucky Ladybird Approaching the 100m was carried out by Bondi Special (J. Andreou) which shifted out before being checked to avoid the heels of Shadow Omen. Over the final 100m when racing close to the heels of Bondi Special was unable to improve and as such went to the line not fully tested. Alkashaaf Performed below market expectations. Rider C. Parish could offer no explanation for the Coltts performance. A post-race Veterinary examination did not reveal any obvious abnormalities. A sample was also taken for analysis. Apprentice J. Andreou pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under the provisions of AR137(a), the careless riding being that approaching the 100m she permitted her mount to shift out when not sufficiently clear of Lucky Ladybird which resulted in that mare being hampered and taken out of its course there by tightening Hypermarionation outwards onto Amazing Miss Ruby and as a result of this tightened Hypermarionation which had to be checked. Apprentice Andreou had her permit to ride in races suspended to commence midnight 11 th September 2017 to expire midnight 22 nd September 2017 a total of 10 meetings (2 Metro/8 Provincial). In assessing penalty Stewards took into account apprentice Andreouus guilty plea, good record and deemed the interference to be in the mid-range. Race 5 SHANNON NOLL AT CAULFIELD CUP WODONGA BM64 HANDICAP metres:> Our Surfer Boy Commenced awkwardly and was then slow into stride. Raced wide without cover throughout. Littlesnitz Slow into stride. Lay out rounding the home turn. IIm Ready For This Apprentice G Cartwright reported that after beginning awkwardly and she settled further back than anticipated. 5 Zimzala Commenced awkwardly. Super Rockstar Slow to begin. Electric Charlie Shortly after the start bumped by What Girls Want, which shifted in. Raced wide without cover throughout. What Girls Want Shifted in shortly after the start. Raced wide in the early stages before striding forward to obtain the lead approaching the 800m. Make Mine Brandy Held up for clear running rounding the home until passing the 200m. For the funofit Lay in under pressure in the early part of the straight. Race 7 BILL TILLEY, BUILDING A BETTER BENAMBRA BM58 HANDICAP metres:> Solar Bravo > Slow to begin then buffered when tightened for room between Doogans Rise which shifted out and Ecology which shifted in on jumping. Alls Choice Raced wide without cover in the early stages. Our Swagman Hung out under pressure rounding the home turn and in the straight. Stewards questioned apprentice C. Hall in relation to her riding tactics in the early and middle stages when she applied pressure to Ecology, the leader. Apprentice Hall explained that she had been instructed by Mr A. McKnight co-trainer of the gelding to attempt to lead on Our Swagman and for this reason she persisted in the middle stages to attempt to do so. Stewards interviewed Mr McKnight who confirmed these instructions. However after analysing the video footage with a Stewards Mr McKnight acknowledged that in future the instructions given to riders especially inexperienced one should have more flexibility about them. Apprentice Hall was fined the sum of $300 under the provisions of AR137A(5)(a)(ii) for using her whip four times more than permitted prior to the 100m. Race 8 master king security bm58 handicap metres:> Prior to the declaration of correct weight rider apprentice G. Cartwright rider of Our Edition (fourth placegetter) lodged an objection against Yarrayne Lass (third placegetter) alleging interference near the 300m and in the straight. After taking evidence from all parties involved it was established that rounding the home turn near the 300m Our Edition when improving then had to be steadied off the heels of Little Rio which had commenced to weaken at this point and as a result became unbalanced. Passing the 200m Our Edition shifted in and away from Yarrayne Lass which had shifted in marginally and then became unbalanced when brushing with Sixpenny Princess. As stewards were of the opinion that this incident did not warrant the placinggs being amended correct weight was declared.

6 El Corazon Had to be re-saddled upon arrival at the barriers. Slow to begin. Performed below market expectations. A post-race Veterinary examination did not reveal any obvious abnormalities. Yarrayne Lass > Commenced awkwardly and then shortly after the start bumped by Sixpenny Princess which shifted out. Raced keenly through the middle stages. Near the 300m when improving was obliged to be steadied to avoid the heels of Nine Clouds. Swanhilde Commenced awkwardly. Nine Clouds Raced wide without cover throughout. Cheeky Chinchilla Approaching the 600m when racing keenly had to be eased off the heels of Atunnah Courage. Our Edition Held up for a clear run from the 400m until near the 300m. Hampered near the 300m and had to be steadied off the heels of Little Rio which was weakening at this point. Passing the 200m shifted in and brushed Sixpenny Princess and became unbalanced. Andreou, careless riding R3 Lord Wentworth, lame near foreleg, Veterinary Certificate required R1 Miss Mumazara, more positive Change of Tactics: R3 Lord Wentworth, further forward R3 Oklahoma Days, more positive from wide gate Supplementary Report Tuesday 5 th July Stewards today conducted an enquire into the circumstances surrounding Peter Hamilton being detected by RV Stewards riding track work at a registered training location on the 21 st July Mr Hamilton pleaded guilty under the provisions of AR81A which states any rider commits an office and may be penalised if: (a) a sample taken from him is found upon analysis to contain a substance banned by AR81B. The particulars of the charge are that when Mr Hamilton was riding track work at a registered training location he provided a sample that was found upon analysis to contain a prohibited substance. When laying the charge Stewards noted that Mr Hamilton was unlicensed at the time and fully aware of that fact. As such Mr Hamilton was disqualified from 7/8/17 to 7/2/18, a period of six months. Stewards took into account his plea, record and circumstances. Peter Hamilton pleaded guilty to a further charge under the provisions of AR175(j) which states: Any person guilty of improper or insulting behaviour at any time towards the Principal Racing Authority or any official or employee of the Principal Racing Authority, Club or Association in relation to their or his duties. The particulars of the charge being that Mr Hamiltonns actions were improper in that upon receiving correspondence from Racing Victoria on 3/7/2017 confirming that his application for a licence to ride track work had been rejected by the board of Racing Victoria that Mr Hamilton continued riding track work with the full knowledge of this ruling until on the 21/7/2017 he was detected riding track work by Racing Victoria Stewards. Mr Hamilton was disqualified from 21/7/17 until 21/7/19, a period of two years. Stewards took into account his guilty plea, record and circumstances. Stewards deemed both disqualifications to be severed concurrently.
