Race 8: Aquis T J Smith Stakes 1200m (Group 1): Redzel Co-Trainer P Snowden advised that the stable was satisfied with the post-race condition of the gelding and will continue with its racing preparation in Brisbane. Redzel was examined by RNSW Chief Official Veterinarian on Monday 8 April 2019 with no abnormalities detected. Trapeze Artist Trainer Mr G Ryan advised that the colt would now be retired to stud. Shoals Trainer Mr A Freedman advised that the mare would now be retried to stud. Race 9: The Star Doncaster Mile 1600m (Group 1) Alizee Trainer Mr J Cummings advised that he was satisfied with the post-race condition of the mare and was his intention to continue on with her preparation. Alizee was examined by RNSW Official Veterinarian on Tuesday 9 April 2019 with no abnormalities detected. RACE 1: Steven Gale Excavations Maiden Plate 1300m Our Celtic Star Held up rounding the home turn and in the early part of the straight whereby it was shifted to the inside of Silk Touch near the 250m to continue into clear running. Broderick Began awkwardly. Commentator From a wide barrier was shifted behind runners in the early stages. Laid out under pressure over the final stages. Coolgardie When questioned regarding the disappointing performance rider J Collett stated that his mount travelled well throughout the early and middle stages, however when placed under pressure approaching the 600m Coolgardie did not respond to his riding and commenced to weaken and was disappointing in its failure to finish the race off. He added he recommended to connections to remove the cross over noseband as in his opinion the gelding may have resented the gear. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have lost its off-fore plate. Stewards deemed the performance of Coolgardie to be unacceptable. Stable representative Miss S O'Keefe was advised that the gelding must barrier trial to the Stewards satisfaction prior to its next race start. Cry Of Achilles Raced keenly in the early stages. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding revealed no abnormalities. Silk Touch Bumped at the start by Cry Of Achilles which shifted out after beginning awkwardly. Over the final 200m laid in and proved difficult to ride out to the finish, RACE 2: Schweppes Maiden Handicap 1100m

2 2 Prince Camelot Slow to begin. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding which was beaten 25L revealed no abnormalities. Stewards deemed the performance to be unacceptable. Stable representative Mr C Ashby was advised that Prince Camelot would be required to barrier trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards before being permitted to race again. Arkam Asylum Trainer Mr M Johnston was fined the sum of $100 under AR206 for the late application to add blinkers to the gelding's gear. As T Clark was indisposed due to transport difficulties, Stewards permitted C Reith to be the substituted rider of the gelding. Near the 150m was eased away from the heels of Mimi which laid out. Glamour Cat Held up rounding the home turn and in the home straight whereby it was shifted to the outside of Tawaret near the 200m to continue into clear running. Romalette From the outside barrier was shifted behind runners in the early stages. Sauvignon Slow to begin. Bernson Began awkwardly and shortly after was steadied when hampered by The Groupie which shifted in. Hung out rounding the home turn. The Groupie Near the 800m when racing keenly shifted out and became awkwardly placed on the heels of Absolute Control. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Georgia Hit Slow to begin. Held up rounding the home turn and in the home straight whereby it was shifted to the outside of Tawaret approaching the 200m to continue into clear running. Passing the 200m was hampered and taken wider by Glamour Cat which shifted out. Mimi Raced keenly in the middle stages. Held up rounding the home turn and in the early part of the straight. Laid out under pressure over the final 200m. RACE 3: G & K Electrical 2YO Maiden Handicap 1300m Creator Began awkwardly. When questioned rider J Parr stated that this mount travelled well throughout the early and middle stages however when he placed his mount under pressure rounding the home turn his mount did not respond to his urgings and was somewhat one paced. He added Creator then became held up shortly after straightening and when he committed to the outside of Just Thinkin', when that runner shifted out slightly, he was disappointed for clear running between Just Thinkin' and Asiago near the 350m. He further added Creator continued to be held up until passing the 100m whereby the colt was shifted to the inside of Just Thinkin' to continue into clear running. Brandenburg Bounded on jumping. The Snooperstar Slow to begin. Asiago Raced wide and without cover throughout the event. Never Listen Stable representative Mr W Freedman was fined the sum of $100 under AR106 for presenting Never Listen with a cross-over noseband which was not part of the filly's approved race day gear. Slow to begin. Passing the 200m was directed to the outside of The Snooperstar to continue into clear running whereby it closed its race off strongly. Just Thinkin' Began only fairly. When questioned rider T Clark he stated that being caught wide and without cover in the early stages, he was able to obtain a position behind Aperol Sprint near the 900m. He added when the tempo steadied passing the 800m he shifted his mount to the outside of Aperol Sprint as he felt that if he remained racing behind that runner, Asiago, which was racing to Just Thinkin' outside, would improve around his mount and place him in a position where he would be held up. RACE 4: Robert Oatley Wines Class 1 Handicap 1800m Head Up High Began awkwardly and made contact with the off-side partition on the barriers. When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of Head Up High rider K Latham stated the gelding made the crossing awkwardly near the 1600m. He added the gelding travelled satisfactorily thereafter however when placed under pressure near the 600m did not respond to his urgings and when the gelding blundered approaching near 200m

3 3 he desisted from riding his mount out whereby Head Up High weakened noticeably over the final stages. A postrace veterinary examination of the gelding which was beaten 35L revealed no abnormalities. Stewards deemed the performance to be unacceptable. Trainer Mr L Curtis was advised Head Up High would be required to barrier trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards prior to the gelding racing again. Taj Near the 150m was eased from the heels of On The White Turf (C Reith) which shifted in when not quite clear. C Reith was advised to exercise more care. Laid out under pressure over the final 100m. Live The Moment Change of tactics to be ridden conservatively; settled back. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding which was beaten 34L revealed no abnormalities. Trainer Mr J Pride could offer no explanation for the gelding's disappointing performance and advised a full veterinary examination would be performance on Live The Moment on return to the stables at which time Mr Pride will report back to the Stewards. Notwithstanding this advice the Stewards deemed the performance unacceptable and ruled that Live The Moment would be required to barrier trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards prior to racing again. Notabadharada A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have lost its off fore plate. Ausbred Diamond Shortly after the start was bumped by Watch The Cat which shifted out and as a result Ausbred Diamond became unbalanced. Eden Vale Near the 1600m was eased away from the heels of Taj (G Schofield) which shifted in when not clear. G Schofield was advised to exercise more care. Raced keenly in the early and middle stages and near the 1300m was shifted to the outside of On The White Turf and was allowed to stride forward to assume a position in the lead near the 1000m. Dorreego Was a late scratching at 9:55am on veterinary advice. Trainer Mr D Wagstaff was advised a veterinary clearance would be required prior to the gelding barrier trialling or racing again. RACE 5: Ascend Sales Maiden Plate 1500m Agenda A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding which was beaten 27L revealed no abnormalities. Stewards deemed the performance to be unacceptable. Trainer D Robinson was advised that Agenda would be required to barrier trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards prior to racing again. Izumi Knuckled badly on jumping and as result lost considerable ground (4L). Passing the 600m was shifted to the inside of the weakening Agenda to continue into clear running. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Ivira Laid out under pressure rounding the home turn and over the final 200m. Polished Penny Near the 1200m laid in and away from Agenda as a result Corporal which was racing to the inside of Polished Penny was inconvenienced. Raced wide and without cover from the 1000m. Over the final 200m laid out under pressure. RACE 6: Richmond Irrigation & Water Solutions Class 2 Handicap 1000m Rare Episode When questioned regarding the disappointing performance rider C Reith stated he felt that Rare Episode may have held its breath throughout the event and as a result when placed under pressure in the straight was unable to finish its race off. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to 1/5 lame in the off-foreleg. Trainer Mr B Widdup was advised a veterinary clearance would be required prior to Rare Episode barrier trialling or racing again. Happy Bubbles As B Prebble was dually engaged in Melbourne on rides at Ballarat today, Stewards permitted T Berry to be substituted as the rider of the gelding. From a wide barrier was shifted behind runners in the early stages. When questioned regarding the disappointing performance rider T Berry explained he was under no specific instructions. He stated that after beginning only fairly he settled in a position towards the rear of the field where Happy Bubbles travelled well however when placed under pressure rounding the home turn his mount commenced to lay in and then over the final 150m Happy Bubbles commenced to hang out. T Berry explained to Stewards that on pulling up the gelding made an abnormal respiratory noise. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be 1/5 lame in near foreleg. Trainer Mr G Ryan was advised a veterinary clearance would be required prior to Happy Bubbles barrier trialling or racing again.

4 4 Feel The Knight Laid out under pressure in the final 200m. Hylonome Was held up for clear running in the early part of the straight and passing the 200m was shifted to the outside of Lass Vegas to continue into clear running. Power Rush Began awkwardly and shortly after was steadied from the heels of Captain Courageous which shifted out. Held up in the early part of the straight and near the 300m was disappointed for clear running between Rare Episode and Feel The Knight. Power Rush then continued to be disappointed for clear running between those runners until passing the 200m where it was shifted to the inside of Feel The Knight to continue into clear running. Lass Vegas Passing the 200m laid in and bumped with Rare Episode. RACE 7: Mostyn Copper Benchmark 64 Handicap 1100m Broken Arrows Shortly after the start was badly hampered between Classy Anna and Caliera Gem which shifted in. Held up rounding the home turn and in the early part of the straight whereby it was shifted to the outside of Asharani near the 200m to continue into clear running. Caliera Gem When questioned regarding the disappointing performance App B Griffiths stated that the mare was unusually stirred up prior to the race. He added after being hampered at the start his mount settled further back than anticipated. He further stated that the mare travelled well throughout the middle stages however when placed under pressure shortly after straightening Caliera Gem failed to respond to his riding and was disappointing in its failure to finish the race off. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be slow to recover. Hostwin Saturn When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of the gelding rider T Clark stated after beginning only fairly, Hostwin Saturn travelled well throughout the early and middle stages however when placed under pressure was disappointing in its failure to finish the race. He added that in his opinion Hostwin Saturn will derive a fitness benefit from today's first up performance and appreciate an increase in distance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Lu's In Charge Shortly after the start made contact with the hindquarter with Caliera Gem and became badly unbalanced. Near the 400m was hampered and carried wider by Asharani (B Avdulla) which shifted out to improve into clear running. In this incident Caliera Gem was inconvenienced. B Avdulla was advised to exercise more care. When questioned regarding the disappointing performance App M Weir stated that after being hampered at the start, her mount was able to travel well in an off-pace position. She added when suffering interference near the 400m Lu's In Charge then commenced to weaken and was disappointing in its failure to finish the race off. App M Weir added that on pulling up she noticed Lu's In Charge was making an abnormal respiratory noise and suggested to the connections that a tongue tie be applied to the filly's race day gear. Trainer Mr T Croft confirmed to Stewards that he would apply a tongue tie to the filly's race day gear. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer Mr T Croft was advised a warning would be placed on the filly's record for being uncompetitive. RACE 8: Stand Alone Saturday 27 April Benchmark 64 Handicap 1500m Lightning Nic Held up rounding the home turn and in the early part of the straight and near the 300m was shifted to the outside of Smith. Carluca Slow to begin and was then shifted behind runners in the early stages. Raced keenly in the middle stages. Fast Train Ran out abruptly at the start. Raced wide and without cover throughout. Walkinshaw Near the 1000m when racing keenly was eased away from the heels of Redemption Road (App C Williams) which shifted in when not clear. App C Williams was advised to exercise more care. Near the 100m was eased when hampered by Resonare which was taken out by Soloist which in turn was taken out by Redemption Road (App C Williams) which after being initially taken out by Re Edit shifted out further away from that runner. C Williams was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances. On Angels Wings Pulled hard in the middle stages.

5 5 Terwilliker From a wide barrier was shifted behind runners in the early stages. Smith Raced keenly in the early and middle stages. Held up rounding the home turn and in the early part of the straight whereby it was shifted to the inside of the Soloist to continue into clear running. Tribuna Was a late scratching at 5:12pm on veterinary advice after being fractious in the barriers and becoming cast. The Stewards ruled that all moneys invested on Trubuna be refunded in full and that all successful wagers made prior to 5:12pm be subject to the following deductions from the face value of each ticket: 1 st Re Edit 3c win, 2c place 2 nd Redemption Road 5c place. 3 rd The Soloist 4c place Trainer Mr J Khalifeh was advised Tribuna would be required to barrier trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards prior to racing again. GENERAL: Summary of whip use: Stewards noted the following riders exceeded the permitted strikes of the whip prior to the 100m under AR137A(5)(a)(ii). Bearing in mind the totality of whip use, no action was taken. Race 1 J Collett (Coolgardie) 7 strikes prior to the 100m. Race 4 M Bell (Watch The Cat) 7 strikes prior to the 100m Race 4 J Collett (Notabadharada) 7 strikes prior to the 100m Swab samples were taken from all winners and the following runners: Race 1: Commentator, Pinvincible(2), Cry Of Achilles. Race 3: Royal Popcorn, Bradenburg. Race 4: Watch The Cat. Race 5: Agenda, Winter In America. Race 6: Rare Episode. Race 7: Caliera Gem. Race 6: Happy Bubbles (Trainer G Ryan) 1/5 lame near fore-leg. Nil Race 4: Live The Moment (Trainer J Pride) poor performance.
