A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the off foreleg and will require a veterinary clearance prior to racing again. Crafty Cruiser - raced three wide without cover. Charlevoix - held up for clear running from passing the 600m until passing the 300m. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities and a swab sample was taken for analysis.. When questioned apprentice Ben Thompson reported he had been instructed to be positive on the gelding from the barriers as it has been slow to begin in its recent starts. He added that the gelding responded to his riding and as a result settled further forward.. Tavi Bay (NZ) - rider Michael Dee reported that he was instructed to restrain at the start from its wide barrier to enable him to take up a position with cover.. Data Point - rider Luke Nolen stated his mount travelled well until placed under pressure where it failed to respond to his riding and raced flat. Hans Holbein (GB) - connections advised would lead today; settled outside the leading horse. Ruling Dynasty - inconvenienced at the start by Pacodali (IRE) which shifted out. Killarney Kid (NZ) - steadied at the 200m when tightened for room between Time To Test, which shifted out slightly, and Pacodali (IRE) which was shifting in. Second Bullet - rider James Winks stated his mount travelled well in the early and middle stages and was under pressure near the 600m. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities and a swab sample was taken for analysis.. Bling Dynasty - rider Craig Williams reported his mount felt amiss.. Race 6 - Essendon Nissan McKenzie Stakes (Listed) metres: > Frankel My Dear - shifted out at the start and made contact with Bandipur. Sircconi - got its head up and over-raced in the early stages when being restrained and then raced three wide without cover until the 400m.. Taken out off its course at the 350m by Muraaqeb (Michael Walker) which shifted out. Rider Linda Meech explained she had been instructed to ride the colt with cover from its wide gate but was unable to do so and her mount resented being restrained and was therefore caught wide without cover for the remainder of the event. When questioned further, Linda Meech conceded that in hindsight she should have made a decision to go forward approaching the 1000m and cross Cao Cao, albeit that would have meant being in a three wide position without cover and acknowledged that would have been a better alternative than the subsequent outcome. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Lone Eagle - when racing keenly passing the 800m had to be steadied to avoid the heels of Cao Cao. Overshare - rider Dwayne Dunn dropped his off side rein near the 100m before re-gaining it near the 50m.. Race 7 - SAJ Fruit Supply Carlyon Stakes (Listed) metres: > Heatherly - after being fractious and having its head turned in its starting stall, was backed out and underwent a veterinary examination before being passed suitable to race which delayed the start of the race by approximately two minutes.

A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the near foreleg and will require a veterinary clearance prior to racing again.. Jungle Edge - raced wide without cover. Race 8 - Ladbrokes Handicap metres: > Grey Lion (IRE) - connections advised would be ridden back from the wide draw; slow to begin and settled at the rear of the field. Im Feeling Lucky - slow to begin. Raw Impulse (GB) - slow to begin. Lord Durante - had to be eased near the 1200m to avoid the heels of Tashbeeh (Cory Parish) which shifted in when not fully clear. Rider Stan Tsaikos was severely reprimanded under the provisions of AR145 for weighing in in excess of a half kilogram over his declared riding weight. In assessing penalty Stewards took into account his excellent record.. Duke Of Brunswick - got its head up near the 1000m when over-racing and being eased off heels. Apprentice Chris Caserta reported his mount travelled well until placed under pressure where it failed to respond. Rider Cory Parish was issued with a severe reprimand for permitting his mount to shift in near the 1200m when not fully clear of Lord Durante resulting in that horse having to be eased.. Tudor - steadied passing the 1000m to avoid the heels of Smackdown (NZ), which shifted in away from Ruettiger (NZ) which had been shifting in.. Sovereign Duke - raced three wide without cover.

Smackdown (NZ) - apprentice Ben Allen was cautioned and advised to exercise more care for permitting his mount to shift out on straightening when not fully clear.
