Please note that there will NOT be a break between the 400 IM and 500 freestyle events.

Snyder South Hills Mon Valley Uniontown OFFICIALS / TIMERS All currently certified YMCA and USA officials are encouraged to volunteer. This meet will require the cooperation of all participating teams to run smoothly. Each team should be prepared to provide 6 timers to rotate during the day. Please send names of all officials and timers who will volunteer to the meet director. ELIGIBILITY This meet is open to all YMCA swimmers who have competed in a minimum of two (2) WPYSL dual meets during the current season. An exception is being made for those teams that will not have all their dual meets completed by the Section date. All swimmers MUST be full privilege members of their YMCA and must have represented only their YMCA in competition (high school excepted) for a period of 30 days prior to the start of the meet. Swimmers age is as of December 1, Swimmers who are 21 and under and have not represented a post-high school institution in closed or open competition are eligible to participate. QUALIFYING TIMES This meet does not have qualifying times. ENTRY LIMITS Swimmers are restricted to a maximum of 4 events (max 3 individual events). Teams may enter as many swimmers in an event as desired, and may enter as many relay teams as desired. All swimmers and relays are eligible to score. There are NO exhibition swims in this meet. NT entries will not be accepted. Teams in AA Sections should be prepared to scratch down to 3 events per swimmer if the meet timeline is too long. ENTRY DEADLINE Entry Deadline is 6:00 pm, Friday, January 19, 2018 ***NO EXCEPTIONS***. No additional swimmers or events can be added after the deadline

3 EVENTS / SESSIONS The order of events is attached. All events are pre-seeded, timed finals ENTRY FEES $5.00 / swimmer. There are no per event charges for this meet Please send ONE CHECK ONLY for the total amount of your team entries: we will not accept a collection of individual checks from your team members. Make checks payable to: WPYSL Mail Checks to: Uniontown YMCA ATTN: Jennifer Lewis 1 YMCA Ln, Uniontown, PA ENTRY PROCESS Entries should be ed to the meet director at the address listed above. Entries must be submitted electronically using HY-TEK Team Manager format. Please be sure to submit only eligible swimmers. WARM-UPS Warm-up times will be sent by the meet directors shortly after entries are received. SCORING Scoring will be as follows: Individual Events: Relays: SCRATCH RULE If a swimmer fails to compete in a scheduled event without declaring a false start, he/she shall be disqualified from that event. Points scored and events earned in previous events shall stand. RULES The current USA Swimming technical rules, YMCA Rules that Govern Competitive Sports, and the Rules Supplement for Pennsylvania Group, and the WPYSL Rules shall apply. Where there is any conflict, the YMCA Rules that Govern Competitive Sports shall supersede. Any question that may arise and is unanswered by the meet referee may be referred to the Championship Committee. The Championship Committee shall be comprised of the meet referee, the meet director, league officers in attendance at the meet, and the head coaches of all participating teams. SAFETY & WARM-UP PROCEDURE USA Swimming and YMCA safety procedures will be enforced throughout the meet. Warm-ups are subject to the following procedures: No diving or backstroke starts will be permitted except in sprint lanes, when

4 designated. The referee may remove anyone from the warm-up for failure to comply with the warm-up rules. Note: Swimmers violating safety procedures will be removed from the warm-up for the remainder of the warm-up session. Subsequent violations may cause the swimmer to be disqualified from the remainder of the meet. This policy will be strictly enforced. NO SPECTATORS WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE POOL DECK AT ANY TIME. AWARDS Heat ribbons shall be awarded for 12 and under events. Team plaques shall be awarded for the top two teams. PROGRAMS & ADMISSION No spectator admission fee. Programs - $5.00 RESULTS Results will be posted to the WPYSL website following the meet.
