A. 4 Coupe, Convertible, Fastback, Station Wagon Nash Cruise Night A beautiful Saturday night is perfect for a cruise in. And the local cruise nights are in full swing here in NW Arkansas. NWA Camaro Club had five club cars in attendance and three trophies were handed out to club members Cass Samuels, Rick Wilson, and Chris Brown on Saturday night April 26th. The parking lot next to Frisco Station Mall in Rogers was packed with unique cars, trucks, vans, cruisers. The Nash Back At Ya club puts on a quality cruise night and while not only providing a Saturday night car event, they are also raising funds for the local Humane Society. Thank you Nash Back at Ya. Keep up the great efforts. Congrats to Cass, Rick and Chris. Way to represent the club.

Goshen United Methodist Church in Goshen hosted the 5 th Annual Crawfish Boil and Chicken Dinner and car show too. There were 45 cars and 12 motorcycles in attendance. There was 450 pounds of crawfish consumed and three club members in attendance. 4 th Saturday Backyard Burgers Morning Coffee & Cars 8a-Noon Upcoming Club Activities Sat. May 10 th Walmart ISD Car Show Sat. May 17 th Eureka Springs Camaro Fest Carthage Rocks the Route The Carthage show was a good time! Once the rain passed it was a beautiful day & we got to participate in a parade through town. Congrats to James and Mack who both took home 1st place trophies in their class. Also NWA Camaro Club took the best club participation award for $50 so thanks Andy, James, & Mack for coming out and representing the club!

3 Members Rides (a.k.a. The Money Pit) This month s Members Ride is Christian Kalcevic s ZL1. Year: 2013 Model: Camaro ZL1 Transmission: Automatic Color: Victory Red Additions: Clear Bra, CAI and red LED lights in grille and snout. A little more about this Camaro from Christian. I bought the car for the back seat for the kiddo, automatic so my wife would drive it and I got the supercharger! I do questioned why a automatic and I always go back to the time I raced a Lamborghini Aventador in Las Vegas! Being a paddle shift/automatic car I was so impressed, the precision and quickness. I kept hearing great things but I was worried because I drove a C6 Corvette and wasn't impressed. Gotta give it to Chevy they did it right for the ZL1!!! It's super impressive and fun as heck! Christian, we are happy to have you, your family and your beautiful ZL1 in the club.

Pro Street Camaro Camaro Build Styles Over the next four issues, we will be discussing different build styles of Camaros, from Concours Correct to Pro Touring and everything in-between, and what makes them fit into that style. This issues style is Pro Street. Monthly Cub Meeting; Changed due to Memorial Day Holiday to Thursday, May 29 th 6:30PM Western Sizzler - Springdale Watch Facebook, web site and for more details Facebook: Northwest Arkansas Camaro Club Pro Street Camaros are wild cars made to look more like Pro Stock and other NHRA race cars ready to blister the ¼ mile drag strip, but are legal to drive on the streets. Sometimes also referred to black-half cars, because Pro Street cars boast unique construction methods that usually required heavy modification to the rear half of the F-Body Camaro in order to fit the racing slicks or wider street tires. Such modifications commonly found are full square or tube frames, narrowed rear end differentials, and suspension modifications front and rear. Pro Street Camaro cars also had modifications to the body such as bigger rear wheel housings or wheel tubs, widening of the wheel arch on the quarter panel, NHRA legal roll cage and bigger cowl hoods, hood scoops or cut outs. Horsepower is key and engine modifications could be anywhere from huge cubic-inch Chevy small-blocks or Chevy bigblocks, turbo, supercharger, nitrous oxide and wild intakes. Even Chevrolet V6 or inline 4 cylinders can be beefed up and used. Pro Street Camaro cars are typically made to perform in a straight line and not made to handle like Pro Touring cars. These tubbed Camaros used wild materials such as chromoly, fiberglass and carbon fiber while stock touches like factory door panels, carpet, radio, dash, air conditioning and even factory seats are commonly retained. Pro Street Camaros are made for the streets and can drive in rain, heat and heavy traffic whereas racecars are not. So keeping the rear view mirrors, wipers, turn signals, larger radiator, headlights and license plates are a must. Check out our new and improved Website!

5 License Plate of the Month It is that time of the year again. Time to start organizing our yearly club sponsored event, the Fun Run 101. The Northwest Arkansas Camaro Club created in 2013 a very unique road rally unlike any other held. The rally involves driving a predetermined route through the two lane back roads of the Ozarks while following all road speed limits and rules. An added twist was for participants to stop at five locations around the course, go inside the business, make a purchase, and then continue along the route. Once the course is complete, the participants cross the finish line and turn in their purchase receipts. All five receipts must be present, and if not, a penalty is enforced. In the case of a tie, the largest receipt total breaks the tie. Unique custom hand crafted trophies were created with special recognition trophies. To assure this is a top notch car event in NW Arkansas, we need individuals within the club to step forward and volunteer to execute this event. There are several areas of need leading up to the event as well as the day of the event. Please review the information that was sent out and find an area or two that interests you and step forward. All proceeds from this event will be donated to a local charity yet to be determined. At our May club meeting we will be selecting that charity. In 2013 we chose Horses for Healing. If you have a suggestion for who our charity should be for 2014, please Rick Aron PRIOR to our May monthly meeting. Let s work together to make this a fun and successful event for local charities. 6 May Club Events Walmart ISD and CMN will be holding their Cars, Bikes and BBQ show on Saturday, May 10 th. The club attended this show last year and had a great time and brought home some serious hardware. There is a new location this year for the show, which is on the corner of SW 8 th Street and SW A Street, behind the fire station. Lots of trophies, raffle prizes, other interesting things. Many entry classes and trophies for top 5 in each class. All proceeds from this event benefit Children s Miracle Network Hospitals. Watch for details of where we will meet up to cruise to this show together. On Saturday, May 17 th will be the 2 nd Annual Eureka Springs Camaro Fest. Proceeds from the event will benefit Toys for Tots. Entry fee is $20 and 1 new unwrapped toy, Registrations runs from 8am to 10am, Judging from 11 to 1, and awards at 4pm followed by a parade through town at 5pm. This show is open to all generations of Camaros and a huge turnout is expected. More details on both events will be sent out as we get closer to the dates. 7 NWA Audio Cruise Night Friday night, April 18 th was the first cruise night held at NWA Audio in Rogers. What a beautiful night with temps in the 70 s and you could tell everyone was anxious to get their cars out as the cruise night brought out 114 cars, trucks, off road vehicles and even a Lamborghini. NWA Camaro Club was represented with 6 member s cars on display. Sure hope Ed continues this throughout the summer. New & Improved Website Up and Running Through countless internal discussions, monthly meeting approvals, web searches, blood, sweat and tears the new, improved, revamped, rebuilt, modified, tricked out and beefed up web site is up and functioning. We extend a big thank you to Andy Cleveland for creating and maintaining our former web site. Andy made lemonade out of a limited lemon and took it as far as he could. The club took the next step and voted to spend the money to revamp and move into a much friendlier web site which expands photos, videos, links, calendars, as well as makes our site accessible to mobile devices. Please give our new Web Master, James McGee a pat on the back for taking on this huge move for the club. The web site is a work in progress as James continues to add and improve the features of our web site.
