2 2019 STATE SPRINT CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES REGULATIONS Series Regulations apply at any time before, during or after a race meeting and are not subject to appeal. Please direct any queries to Karting NSW in the first instance. Karting NSW reserves the right to update, change or amend any of the series regulations at any time. 3 ROUND NOMINATIONS Drivers who wish to only participate in selected rounds of the Championship, simply need to complete an online entry, available at the kartingnsw.com.au portal. The cost is $205 (inc GST) nomination fee for a single round. Drivers who wish to participate in all three rounds of the Championship, can choose the special discount offer and complete the online nomination form available at and pay the $520 (inc GST) nomination fee. All drivers must be entered/nominated and have paid the required fee, on or before the closing date of entries, for each round of the Championship. The entry fee, as approved by Karting NSW will include: o All practice days; o Gate entry for the competitor and two (2) pit crew for all days; o A copy of the Official Meeting Program. Karting NSW reserves the right to determine the eligibility of any competitor and accept or reject any nomination without explanation. All Drivers whose entry is not accepted for a Class, shall be notified as soon as possible. Receipt of entries will open 60 days prior to each round. Entries/nominations will close 7 days prior to the start date of each round. Late entries/nominations will not be accepted. KARTING NSW RULE BOOK The KNSW 2019 State Sprint Championship will be run to the KNSW 2019 Rules, Regulations and Specifications, these Series Regulations and each rounds Supplementary Regulations. TIMING & RESULTS Transponders will be used at all tracks for determining results. Transponders must always be fitted in the standard position, as determined by Karting NSW regulations. CHAMPIONSHIP DECALS All Karts must display the supplied official decals of major Championship sponsor(s) to be eligible for points, prizes and trophies. All Championship decals must be displayed as below in position 1. If they cannot be displayed in position 1 then you may apply to KNSW to place the decals in position 2 or

4 LICENCES All drivers must hold a current appropriate level Karting NSW licence or an approved Karting NSW Event Licence. Driver support personnel must hold an approved Karting NSW licence. MINIMUM ENTRIES If less than eight (8) genuine entries are received for any Class by the close of entries, then the Class will not be contested. In exceptional circumstances, Karting NSW may give approval for a lesser number of entries in a Class. DECLARATION Each Class must contest all three rounds of the Championship in order for the Class Championship to be awarded. SPORTSMANSHIP Kart racing is a very emotional sport. As such, good sportsmanship is a key element of any competitive racing program. This must include respect for all participants drivers, owners, pit crews, and Officials. For our part, we will make every effort to be consistent with our rules, regardless of whom or what is involved. We will treat all participants with respect and expect similar treatment in return. A driver s pit area is his castle therefore please stay out of other driver s pit areas, especially after an incident where you have been involved with that driver. Drivers remember that you are responsible for the actions of your crews. Any offending parties will be fined appropriately and disciplinary actions will be initiated, as deemed necessary. Sportsmanship does not just pertain to activities at the track. Be aware that we do our best to present Karting NSW and its drivers, in the best light possible. We expect our drivers to do the same. Remember what you say has weight, what you type has meaning, what you do has consequences. Think before you act. Unsportsmanlike or aggressive behaviour from members of any team, may see that respective driver be requested by Karting NSW Officials to withdraw from the race meeting immediately. Drivers excluded will also forfeit any points, prizes and trophies. DRIVERS BRIEFING All drivers MUST attend the Drivers Briefing. Any drivers who do not attend the Drivers Briefing, will be placed at the rear of each heat race in their Class.

5 GRIDS & POINTSCORES Gridding and race format for each Class, at each round, will be determined by the number of entries received and the track density. Point scores for each round will be determined using the Zero point score system, as described in the State Championship Event Format. Karting NSW is responsible for the State Championship standings, which will be determined as per the State Championship Event Format points allocation table. PRIZES & TROPHIES Trophies for each round will be awarded to the first three (3) placegetters in all Classes, and are the responsibility of the host Club. Karting NSW will provide and present to all Class State Champions, one (1) blue number plate bearing the numeral 1 and Nassau panel stickers. This plate may then be used in the same Class, at any race meeting, until the end of next years State Championship. KNSW is responsible for organising the Championship prize pool. Prizes will be presented at the conclusion of the last round of the Championship. Drivers must have competed at all three rounds of the Championship Series to claim prizes from the Championship prize pool. Other prizes may be provided by the host Club with approval of Karting NSW. REFUNDS Refunds after the close of entries will be considered by KNSW. The driver will need to provide the Championship Committee with the grounds for claiming the refund. Any Drivers whose entries are not accepted, will be automatically refunded after close of entries.
