In the series, Nick Guimbarda paced the offense with a.500 average which included three doubles in Sunday s 11-6 win over Gardner-Webb. Jimmy Marcelli had a career day on Sunday with four hits and seven RBIs in the win. On the mound, Eric Miles tossed a complete game on Friday for the win which included 10 strikeouts and reigning star ng pitcher of the week Reagan Fowler threw five shutout innings in Sunday 11-6 win. Starting Pitching Getting It Done The Blue Hose trio of Eric Miles, Jake Rice and Reagan Fowler a er two Big South series have all been red-hot as the threesome sits with a 4-1 record to help lead PC to its strong start in league games. 2 NOTES Friday starter Eric Miles is coming off of a complete game against Gardner-Webb to improve to 3-1 on the season. In Big South ac on, Miles is 2-0 with a 2.93 ERA allowing just five earned runs in 15.1 innings. Miles has 19 strikeouts in those two starts and a team-high 34 strikeouts on the year. Jake Rice has manned the Saturday spot in the PC rota on and sits with an 0-1 mark in league games with a 3.46 ERA and 11 punchouts. He s thrown his two longest ou ngs of the year in league games as he tossed seven innings against Radford and had a six inning ou ng against Gardner-Webb. Reagan Fowler is 2-0 in conference games with 11 shutout innings as he has 17 strikeouts in those two ou ngs. Fowler s 12 strikeouts against Radford ne ed him Big South Star ng Pitcher of the Week honors. Series History PC owns a lead in the all- me series against Wofford da ng back to 2008 as the Blue Hose picked up a 5-4 win against the Terriers on March 6 at the PC Baseball Complex. In the March 6th victory, Nick Guimbarda and Graham Mitchell paced the offense with a pair of hits each as Mitchell and Jonathan White had a pair of RBIs apiece. On the mound, Johnny Cook earned his first career win in relief as Cook threw three innings not allowing an earned run. Scouting Wofford Wofford comes into Wednesday s match up with a 17-9 record a er dropping two-ofthree against FAMU last me out. Lawson Hill leads the Terrier offense with a.440 average and 19 RBIs. Mike Brown has a.342 average and a team-high 20 stolen bases. The Terriers lead the na on with 88 stolen bases on the season average 3.38 stolen bases a game. Hill s.440 average sits 10th na onally. On the rubber, Rasesh Pandya is 2-0 with 16 strikeouts and a 0.00 ERA in 11.1 innings. Hayes Heinecke sits at 5-0 with a 2.23 ERA and 31 strikeouts. Rankings The Blue Hose rank second in the Big South in double plays turned (15), doubles (42), shutouts (1), triples (6), triples per game (0.25). Nick Guimbarda sits at the top of the leaderboard in the league with 10 doubles. Jimmy Marcelli is second in the conference with 33 hits and sits fi h in the league with a.359 average. Eric Miles and Reagan Fowler are two of just seven pitchers in league games with a perfect 2-0 mark as Fowler is the lone star ng pitcher in the Big South to not allow a run in his conference games. Record Chasing Head Coach Elton Pollock is closing in on his 300th win with the Blue Hose as he needs just three more victories to achieve this milestone. Colton Springs with his next save would move into solo fourth in the program s D1 record book with his seventh career save. Springs with his next save also takes sole possession of eighth in the Blue Hose career record book. Nick Guimbarda needs one more home run to move into a e for 5th in the Blue Hose D1 Record Book for career homers. He currently has 14 career homers. Springs with two more strikeouts will move into 10th place in the D1 record book in Presbyterian history. He currently has 93 strikeouts. With his next hit by pitch, Jonathan White moves into a e for eighth in the Blue Hose single season D1 Record book with his ninth hit by pitch on the season.
