2 EARN 2 VOUCHERS TO A 2008 A s GAME! ELIGIBILITY Students from 1st through 8th grade are eligible to participate in the Mathletics program. INSTRUCTIONS 1. Solve all the problems in this workbook and write your answers on the answer sheet provided. 2. Mail answer sheets with a self addressed envelope to: Oakland Athletics c/o Mathletics Program 7000 Coliseum Way Oakland, CA All Mathletics answer sheets must be received by Friday, May 2nd. NO late answer sheets will be accepted after this date. Every student who turns in an answer sheet by the deadline will receive Two (2) vouchers to a 2008 A s game. Some restrictions may apply. All vouchers will be mailed out starting Monday, May 12th. Teachers, Coaches, and Youth Leaders: Order as many free Mathletics workbooks as you need and take your entire class, team, or group to an Oakland A s home game. For groups, please include a list of names of the children who completed the workbook. PARENTS: You may purchase additional vouchers by filling out the attached voucher request form. Additional vouchers will be mailed with the complimentary vouchers. The Oakland A s are not responsible for answer forms that are lost in the mail. If each person gets 3 candy bars, how many players did Kurt give candy bars to? 2. Jack Cust hit 35 homeruns in He hit 21 solo homers, 12 2-run homers, and 2 grand slams. How many runs did Jack drive in? (Hint: A grand slam equals 4 runs.) 3. Eric Chavez caught 357 ground balls, Mark Ellis caught 253, and Bobby Crosby caught 403.
