The intent was to provide the user a series of screens and accessories that allows the ability to configure and personalize their space in a way that is productive to the individual. Characterized by great attention to materials and an uncompromising design, the db screens come in many sizes and can be upholstered in almost any textile. Instead of legs, they stand on a base, which allows them to be angled as desired when combined with one another. The series includes a whiteboard-faced screen and a clever cork-face screen for bulletins. The result is a screen system that serves as a discreet scenery set for open office environments, designed to be brought to life by the people who work there. Its accessories not only add rational functionality, but provide space for personal items like photos, magazines, etc. The series is also imbued with mischief, one of Bernstrand s hallmarks. A flower pot that appears to be balanced rather daringly, rests securely on the top edge of the screen. The point of db is to enable individuals to make an impression on their surroundings. While doing my research, I found that all the existing solutions were so perfectly complete, with everything thought out in advance. The individual user was left with only a minimal degree of latitude. I wanted to change that.

2 Lily by Runa Klock and Hallgeir Homstvedt ICF Presents Lily A noise dampening light fixture designed by the team of Runa Klock and Hallgier Homstvedt for Abstracta. Sound and visual distraction are two of the most noticed conditions in almost any environment. Lily was designed to address both of these conditions. The felt prototypes resembled the beautiful and tranquil leaves of lily pads, thus the name. Intended for large and more intimate spaces alike, whether a single lamp or a grouping of several, the result is a visual and acoustical calm in a space. 120 cm in diameter, Lily is intended for lighting large rooms, such as restaurants and open office spaces environments where both noise and visual information levels are high. Dampening noise is important, of course, but so is reducing visual stress, says Klock. Our aim with Lily is to make large interior spaces more intimate by bringing different parts of the room together, while creating distinct zones, explains Homstvedt. This series of three low tables with different heights and table top sizes can be used in a vast number of combinations, or as single accent tables by mixing the colors of the bases and table tops. The expression of the tables may be varied in innumerable ways and may be used either as side tables or coffee tables in many types of interiors and spaces. CUP Armchair by Konstantin Grcic ICF Presents CUP. Konstantin Grcic has continued his longstanding collaboration with Plank, unveiling a new chair CUP. Inspired by hard shell luggage, the ubiquitous choice for those passing through airports and railway stations around the world. As a traveler, one has come to appreciate the benefits of plastic shell suitcases, says Grcic. They are extremely light and flexible, yet strong and good looking. Suitcases made of thin vacuum-formed plastic sheets have revolutionized an entire product species. As a furniture designer, Grcic was interested in how the technology that is used for hard shell luggage can be applied to seating. Although the creative potential seemed obvious, the design found that translating it into a successful formula for a chair took time. With CUP we have developed an elegant geometry for the shell, which combines structural strength, with a high degree of flexibility and lightness, Grcic explains. The upholstered inside of the shell adds a

11 well-balanced ergonomic quality to the chair, making it a perfect choice for conference situations, waiting and dining areas.
