3 *Friday is District Wide Hats on Day. Students can purchase a sticker for $1 and wear their favorite hat. Stickers are available at the front desk! * *Gateway Book Club Members, *T-shirt orders are due by Monday, March 7. See a librarian for details. *Coding Club will meet TODAY, Wednesday, 3/2 after school in room 321. New members welcome. See you there!

4 * Reminder to students who ride the bus, your bus # may be different than what you are use to. Look for the placard on the side of the bus, this will be the correct #. *Summer School packets are now available in the Guidance Office. Applications are now being accepted!

5 *Creative writers - sign up now for Monday's all-day poetry workshop here at school. Act now because you need signed permission from all teachers. See your Language Arts teacher, Mrs. Fitzgerald, or Mr. Frank. *Attention Juniors and Seniors! There is a short prom meeting in room 253 on Wednesday after school at 3:10. See you then! *Applications for Link Crew are available now. Current 10th and 11th graders can look for the salmon-colored sheets in the main office, library, and guidance office.

6 * *CONGRATULATIONS to the Rockwood Summit Bands at the MSHSAA Large Group Festival! *Falcon Band - Division II Rating *Concert Band - Division I Rating *Symphonic Band - Division I Rating *Congrats to our mathletes who took 2nd in Team and Relay at the MCTM contest this weekend. Team members were Thomas Fan, Alan Peng, Cade Winters and Nikhil Mitra. *Congrats to Alan Peng who took first place overall for the High Schools and first in Sprint and Target categories.

7 * *Congratulations to the Silver Stars Dance Team at NDA Nationals! They placed 19th in the nation in jazz and 18th in the nation in hip hop, making hip hop finals for the first time ever! Congrats! If you would like to tryout to be on the Silver Stars Dance Team, please pick up a packet from Coach Taylor's desk in the front office. Paperwork is due next Wednesday, March 9th.

8 *MARCH 3-5 *Tickets are on sale at all lunches this week! Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door! Seating is reserved so buy your tickets today!

9 * *Any Falcon Players out there who aren't already involved in the musical-it's not too late to still get involved! We really need people to help usher on Friday and Saturday! You get a free ticket if you help! Come see Mrs. Fischer asap if you are interested!

10 * *Well, then you can dodge a ball! * Attention teachers, students, and staff: Clear your schedules for The Dodgeball Tournament hosted by the girls lacrosse team. The tournament will be here at Summit on March 25th. Start gathering up your teams of 8-10 players. Details and registration info coming soon! Will you be the Dodgeball Champion of Summit?

11 * *If you'd like to give your input on things pertaining to the Class of 2017, attend the Junior Advisory Meeting THIS FRIDAY, March 4th, in the Main Office Conference Room, during all 3 lunch periods.

12 *CCE Applications are now being accepted for the school year. CCE interviews begin this week, so pick up an application from Mrs. Revis or the guidance office, and turn your application in right away. *If you want to learn about business and marketing, make money while gaining employment experience, and earn high school credit(s) for working, then CCE is the class for you!

13 * Interested in trying out for Summit cheerleading? Plan to attend the informational meeting after school on Tuesday March 8 in room 112! Questions? See Miss Kasch

14 * *Professional Cap and Gown portraits will be taken at school on March 8 in the theatre. No money up front. All you need to do is sign up for an appointment time with Mrs. Otto and show up for your appointment on March 8. Cap and gowns will be provided by the photographer.
