Big Meadows held their September Community Coffee to coincide with West Carroll Homecoming Week. We continued the tradition of inviting West Carroll High School athletes to enjoy a donut and beverage with our residents and wish them luck at their football game on Friday, September 22nd. Marlene, Gerry S., and Terry M. with West Carroll athletes On Wednesday, September 20th, Big Meadows crowned their 2017 Homecoming King and Queen. Nominees for Homecoming Queen were: Lupe Thacker; Ann LaShelle; and Barb Watts and Nominees for Homecoming King were Terry Hyde and Gerry Smith. 4 Savanna's River City Reader Page 4 Big Meadows Highlights Keeping with tradition, the morning of the Homecoming parade, West Carroll s Marching Band and Flag Team visited Big Meadows residents and staff and performed a preview of their parade selections in the front parking lot. Every year, the residents and staff love to watch the show and really appreciate that the West Carroll students and staff take the short walk to us and perform for us. Residents have been getting in the spirit of Autumn with their pipe cleaner pumpkin craft! Barb with her craft pumpkin. Lupe with her craft. Marlene with her pumpkin. Please bring your little ghost and goblins in to see our residents. We are needing donations of candy for the residents to give out to the children on Halloween. We thank everyone for their help.
