1 Vivek Vidyalaya Siddharth Nagar, Goregaon (w), Mumbai 104 Smruti Inter-School Festival is a brainchild of Vivek Vidyalaya. The word "Smruti" in Sanskrit means knowledge, wisdom. "Smruti" also means memory, we relate this with our activities as talented group of Students & Teachers with best knowledge and wisdom in the fields of Arts, Sports and Culture & memory of our elders, God, principles and moral values which guides us through right path to cherish the wonderful learnings of education to help the humanity. Dear Principal, Established in 1962, Vivek Education Society has evolved as an educational institution of repute in the western suburbs of the city of Mumbai. The Society and the educational institutions run by it have completed 52 years of serving the noble cause of providing quality and affordable education and are celebrating its Golden Jubilee year. This is a significant milestone in its history. The Vivek Vidyalaya initially catered to the needs of south Indians has over the years acquired a cosmopolitan character. The Higher Secondary section was started in 1977 and the Degree College, Vivek College of Commerce started in the year 1986, which is affiliated to University of Mumbai. At present, vivek caters about 7000 students from K.G to P.G. Easily accessible location, ethical management and faculty providing affordable education makes Vivek Vidyalaya an institution of choice for the residents cutting across linguistic lines, proudly occupying a well deserved place in the hearts of people of Goregaon and western suburbs. During the Golden Jubilee celebrations, we have we have started with this Zonal Level Inter School Competitions Smruti - for the students and teachers as well. The winning student/s will get prizes as well as trophies during the prize distribution function to be held at the School premises. SOLO SINGING 1 participant per school. limit: 3-5 Minutes Bring your own Musical instruments or Accompanists(Max 3) Taal, Swar and Selection of song am to 11am 3. ANTAKSHARI 2 participants per team per school. Elimination-Written test 15 Questions. 4 teams will qualify for finals. There will be 5 to 6 rounds. 10am to 12 noon. 4. ENACTING ADVERTISEMENT Theme- Any Advertisement. limits: 1 to 2 minutes. 2 to 3 participants in each act Selection of advertisement, Presentation & Effectiveness. 1pm to 2.30pm

Bring your own material Selection of design, Presentation & Effectiveness. 9 am to 11am 7. MASK MAKING Theme-Goddess/any Woman Celebrity -- Indian. Bring your own materials and write up of the reason for selection of the theme in 5-6 lines. Write up, Presentation and Effectiveness. 9 am to 11am 8. POSTER MAKING Theme- Save the girl child. 1 student per school. 4A Drawing paper will be provided. Bring your own material of your choice. Slogan related to theme, Composition & Overall presentation. 9 am to 11am

7 9. TRADITIONAL RECIPE WITH MODERN TOUCH Only Primary and Secondary Male Teachers. One teacher per school. Any one veg. recipe. Bring your own materials. No cooking allowed. Print-out of recipe should be displayed. Taste, Presentation & Ingredients used. 10 am to 11-30am 10. SAY NA SOMETHING B/ 1 participant per school. Topic will be given on the spot. limit: 2-3 minutes. Students will be interviewed by two panelists. Fluency of language, Wit & Presence of mind. 1 pm to 3 pm 11. DUET DANCE B/C Any song allowed. 2 participants per team. Participants to get their own CDs. Expression, Co-ordination, Costume & Selection of song. 10 am to 12:30 pm. 12. All the entries should reach on or before 30 th October Second date for accepting entries is 22 nd November Every participant should carry the school identity card. 4. Except performing arts and skit, all the participants will come in their school uniform. 5. Teacher In-charge should accompany the participants. 6. Misbehaving participants will be disqualified from the event. 7. Judges decision will be final. 8. Participants should report at least half an hour before the scheduled time of the competition. 9. Performing Arts events will be held on the Stage. 10. All other events will be held on the 3 rd floor. 11. Every participant will get a participation certificate. 12. In every event, First and Second prize trophies will be given along with a certificate and consolation Prizes. 13. Overall Best School trophy will be given on the basis of point tally st Place -10 points nd Place -5 points. 16. Consolation- 3 points. 17. Prizes will be based on number of entries. 18. Results of the events held on 29 th November, 2013 will be intimated to teacher in charge or the school concerned on 30 th November, 2013 by 10 am. 19.
