1 Title: 5-3 Blizzard Bag #3 Inferencing We knelt on the floor with our hands tucked behind our heads and bent forward underneath our desks. The shaking had stopped, but we had not been given the signal to start our classes again. Nari, do you want a Pocky stick? Hiroshi offered me a delicious, thin pretzel stick coated with chocolate on one end. Origato (thank you), Hiroshi, I whispered as I took a Pocky stick from his box. I kept my whisper as low as possible. I knew that if other classmates heard us then they would start chatting, and the conversation might get loud enough to drown out an important announcement. Taking the hint, Hiroshi replied with a silent smile and quietly took a nibble of his snack. The bell rang out its announcement that we could sit at our desks and continue with our lessons. I was happy to get back to writing Japanese symbols with a brush. 1. Which sentence from the passage shows that Hiroshi is a thoughtful boy? A.
