1 Annunciation School Newsletter Annunciationbvm.org November 7, 2018 Your Kingdom is a Kingdom for all ages, and your dominion endures through all generations. Psalm 145:13 Dear Parents, The Enchanted Forest Scholastic Book Fair is open for business TODAY from 2:30-4:30 pm & 6:00-7:30 pm, TOMORROW during conferences from 11:30-7:30 pm, and SUNDAY after all Masses. Chairperson Jacquie Jungels and the Home & School board have put together a great book fair! All the students browsed the book fair today to fill out their wish lists. There are great books for all ages and lots of fun Christmas stocking stuffers, too. We have a few extra activities in the book fair, too. Tomorrow at conferences, your child s teacher will give you a raffle ticket to take to the book fair and enter your child to win a free book. New this year CANDY GRAMS will be sold for $1.00 each. You can send your child a sweet message along with a sweet candy treat. There is also a photo booth area set up in the gym to take some fun pictures. Be sure to check out the awesome terrariums on display created by Liam Eilermann, Will Eilermann, Addison McCarty, Annalyse McCarty, Devin Seaton, Evalyn Seifrid, and Drew Seifrid. If you haven t shopped the Cherrydale catalog that went home on 10/26, take some time to see all the great items offered and remember our school makes 50% of the sales as profit! There are some great Christmas gift ideas and holiday wrapping paper. If your family sells just THREE items, each child in your family will receive a cute Cowabunga keychain (samples shown to the left). Remember to turn in the coupons on the poster in the packet to receive your first two prizes. Cherrydale sales go through 11/19. I look forward to seeing each of you tomorrow at Parent-Teacher Conferences. Conferences for ALL grades (except Preschool which does not have conferences at this time) are held in the UPPER BUILDING. There will be signs directing you to the correct rooms for each grade. When you are in the upper building, be sure to check out the bulletin board in the lobby honoring dozens of veterans and active service members from our families and friends. We have many eras represented, including both the Civil War and Revolutionary War! See you Friday night at TRADITION OF EXCELLENCE! If you can t make it, be sure to check out the online bidding at There are tons of great auction items already on display, including class projects and some fantastic trips. Sincerely, Mrs. Jennifer Wardynski

6 Annunciation Service Club Annunciation will be forming a Service Club for any interested junior high students. Our aim is to have fun serving our school and the outside community. We will meet about twice a month during lunch to plan new activities. We will also be getting together on occasional evenings or weekends to perform community service. These service opportunities will count for service hours. Club members will be encouraged to participate whenever they can, but we understand that people may not make all events. Our first meeting will be in the art room during lunch on Tuesday, November 13. We will be sharing ideas at this meeting and planning our first activities. If anybody else has some service suggestions to offer, please Mrs. Eversole at ceversole@annunciationbvm.org. Parents will be needed to occasionally help with driving and chaperoning. If this is something that you may be interested in helping with, please indicate that on the permission slip. If you would like to be involved this club, please return this permission slip to the school office I am interested in joining the Annunciation Service Club!
