7 Georgia Parent Survey Public schools in Georgia are evaluated on the College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI) using survey data from students, school personnel and parents to calculate the School Climate Star Rating. Student surveys will be administered in school. The deadline for the surveys is 3/3/17. HONORING OUR HEROES 24 questions CLICK HERE to take the survey! Parents with children at multiple schools must complete one survey per school. Big Creek is participating in this program and the deadline for entries is Monday, January 16 th. The Forsyth County Council PTA is sponsoring our annual Honoring Our Heroes writing program. This program encourages students to recognize a person that has been special to them, and to express those thoughts through their writing. Students should select a real life hero who has made a difference and has shown Do you want to de-clutter your house & help our students at the same time? Consider donating hardcover children's books that your children have outgrown to our media center. Simply drop them off at the front office (Mon-Fri 7:10-3:30 through the end of the school year), and we will get them to Mrs. Spiegelman to add to our book collection. You can take your unwanted paperback books (both children's and adult) to Read It Again Bookstore (next to Michael's). You can donate the store credit they give you to the Big Creek Elementary account. Mrs. Spiegelman can then use this credit to help purchase books that service our whole student body. For more information, visit click on Trade Policy or Mrs. Spiegelman at one or more of the following characteristics: generosity, trust, persistence, dedication, leadership, creativity, caring, bravery, imagination, service, courage, or compassion. The student should show how this hero has had an impact on their life. The hero must be someone that the student knows personally, and not a public figure like Lebron James OR a fictional character like Superman. The hero can be anyone that has made a difference in the student s life.
