2 Morning Arrival - Thank you parents for arriving earlier this year. As a reminder, students entering Stinson AFTER 7:45 will receive tardy slips. Our building opens as early as 7:00 with breakfast being offered to all students as early as 7:15. ALL students are encouraged to arrive no later than 7:35 in order to be prepared for the school day. Parent Feedback Welcome - Starting Monday, August 20, a parent survey will be available for you to provide feedback to the campus. This survey will help Stinson adjust our practices in order to better serve you, the community. You may access the 8 question survey at Information will also be available in the front office.

4 We are excited to offer our K-5 After School Enrichment for this Fall. Young Rembrandts Drawing and Cartoon Classes Wednesdays from 2:45 4:00 p.m. October through December Cost: $105 for 8 Classes Drawing classes for K-2 nd grade. Cartoon classes for 3 rd 5 th grade. Students learn true artist concepts in art, drawing and color technique. Learn to Play Chess! Fridays from 2:45 4:00 p.m. October through December Cost: $150 for 10 Classes The class consists of instruction time and practice time. They will work on tactics such as pins, forks, skewers, decoying and blockades. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED WE CAN NOT OPEN REGISTRATION UNTIL OUR VOLUNTEER SLOTS ARE FULL. Classroom Volunteers Monitor (not teach) classrooms and help with dismissal for one of the 10-week sessions. Volunteers will receive advance registration. We will only open the program if we have enough classroom volunteers. You do not need to sign up for all dates. We need substitutes for back up! 5 We are looking for room parents and grade level coordinators for all grades! We need 2-3 volunteers from each class to help plan 3 class parties, communicate with parents about school news and aid the teachers. Winter Party December 20, 2018 Valentines Party February 14, 2019 End-of-Year Party May 23, 2019 No need to be present at the parties to help! Work from home options. The team will split responsibilities to make it easy for working parents, super-busy parents, dads and grandparents to get involved! Watch D.O.G.S. are fathers, grandfathers, uncles and other father-figures who volunteer for at least one day each year at an official Watch D.O.G.S. school. During the day, Watch D.O.G.S. may read and work on flash cards with students, play at recess, eat lunch with students, watch the school entrances and hallways, assist with traffic flow, mentor students, and any other assigned ac vi es where they ac vely engage with not only their own students, but other students as well. Their mere presence offers addi onal security at the school during the day! On the day of the par cipa on, the par cipants are given a brief review of what to expect, and they wear an official Watch D.O.G.S. t-shirt WATCH D.O.G.S. strives to Ÿ Ÿ Ÿ Ÿ Program Goals Raise the banner of posi ve fathering through the forum of schools across America and the world. Awaken fathers to the values and benefits of commi ed fathering. Change culture by where every student has a father or father-figure to connect with in a posi ve way at school.
