4 "Human trafficking is the fastest growing criminal industry in the world today. It will soon overtake the drug industry! This week the Freedom Movement club is having activities every day during STEP to bring awareness of how horrible human trafficking is.

5 Today, in room c101 we will be showing clips from a documentary called 'Nefarious' which shows how human trafficking is different through the world. We will also show clips from "A Single Seed", a documentary about The Samaritan Women, a rehab home for victims. Everyone is invited!"

6 Attention all students; The MVA will be offering the Maryland Learners Permit test on Saturday, April 23 rd at 12:00 noon. If you are age eligible and would like to participate in the testing process, here at Watkins Mill High School, stop by the main office for your permission slip. All permission slips are due back no later than April 20 th. Don t hesitate, this is the last opportunity for this school year.

7 Attention seniors: If you are available to work the senior bake sale on April 26 th, please see Ms. Young to give her your name and the times you will work. You can receive SSL hours for your time. This fundraiser is to help pay for transportation to the senior picnic.

9 Juniors: Attend the College Fair with Watkins Mill on April 19 th. This is a free fieldtrip to the Montgomery County Fairgrounds. Hundreds of colleges will be there to talk with you about academic programs, scholarships, student life and more. Stop by the College/Career Center to pick up a permission slip.

10 Juniors: Friday, April 15, is the deadline to turn in your permission slip if you d like to attend the College Fair with Watkins Mill. Don t miss out on this opportunity to meet with hundreds of colleges. The signed permission slip which can be found on the WMHS homepage is due Friday to Mrs. Prochnow in the College/Career Center

11 This is a reminder to seniors that both Senator King s and Delegate Reznik s Scholarship applications are due to Mrs. Prochnow tomorrow, Friday, April 15 th. Students going to Maryland colleges or universities can get $4000 to help pay for college.

12 This is a reminder to Juniors that the permission slips to attend the College Fair are due to Mrs. Prochnow tomorrow, Friday, April 15.

13 Reminder to all Juniors completing the Jones Greenblatt Scholarship for excellence in a world language, that your essay is due to Mrs. Prochnow, tomorrow, Friday, April 15.

14 The Students v. Staff basketball game will be Tuesday, April 19 at 7pm in the Main Gym. Any interested senior needs to sign up with Ben Bacorro. YOU MUST BE ELIGIBLE TO PLAY! Tickets will be sold at the door for $1 for spectators. Want to win a FREE ticket to PROM?!? Come to the Students v. Staff Basketball game to try your luck at a ½ court shot. The first two people that make the shot during halftime will win 1 free ticket. Each shot costs $1. Good luck!
