1 November 16, 2018 Dear Parents, The weather has quickly changed reminding us that winter and the holiday season are coming soon. We are all looking forward to our Thanksgiving break next week. We will have two productive, instructional days on Monday and Tuesday and then the school will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday November A holiday tradition at South Charlotte Middle School has been our participation in Angel Tree. This service project is special because it allows children to give to other children. Students donate money to Angel Tree and then homeroom students and teachers go shopping and use the money to purchase gifts for children in need. The Angel Tree donation deadline has been extended through November 20th, and we appreciate any donation. To donate, you can stop by the front office or send the donation with your child to give to his or her homeroom teacher. If your child wishes to go shopping, please check with your child's homeroom teacher as to which evening the class is going to the store. Enjoy your Thanksgiving break. Best, Lisa Bailes, Principal
2 Congratulations to Ani Haines (6 th ), Evan Shelmandine (7 th ), and Bora Leilabady(8 th )! They have been selected by teachers as SCMS Shocker Standouts.
