7 To all students: Come celebrate Black History Month with your friends at our Coffee and Conversations event February 26 th at 7 pm in the cafeteria. We ll have instrumental and vocal performances as well as dancing and poetry readings all performed by WMHS students.

8 Participants of the Black History Celebration will meet in Mr. Longs chorus room today right after school. Rehearsal will begin at 2:30 and go until 5Pm. Bring proper attire and all materials.

13 This message is for 10 th, 11 th and 12 th graders: WMHS will be giving the ASVAB, the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery, on Friday, February 27, at 7:30 am in the College/Career Center. 14 Interested in joining the Watkins Mill Men s Varsity Tennis Team? Come to the Counseling Office to pick up required forms from Coach Keller. The Men s Tennis Interest Meeting will be held this Thursday, February 26 th in A001 during STEP!

18 The indoor track team had a successful finale in the state meet. The team set 5 new school records last night. The girls were: 2nd in the 4by800 relay (Lisa Franco, Rhoda Miller, Alyssa Rishell, Marian Sankoh) 3rd in the 4by4 relay (Lisa Franco, Rhoda Miller, Alyssa Rishell, Marian Sankoh) Alyssa Rishell fourth in the open 500 meter dash Lisa Franco fourth in the 800 meter run

19 The boys 4by400 meter relay (Michael Bonds, Sone Penda, Edem Yahoo, Kevin Mapoku) came in 6 th place and 5th in the 4by200 meter relay CONGRATS TO ALL THE STATE FINALIST

20 Watkins Mill will play Wheaton High School in the first round of the playoffs on Friday, Feb. 27 th at 6pm. Girls Basketball - Wheaton at Watkins Mill on 2/27/15 tipoff at 6pm. HOME Boys Basketball - Watkins Mill at Wheaton on 2/27/15 tipoff at 6pm. AWAY Admission is $6 for anyone over the age of six.
